Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Mine have leather palms and are big as in I got big hands...thicker than the little one size fits all, but not super thick...they work OK for driving. Of course, I don't hafta do a lot of shifting.
But ski gloves don't work. Been there, done that...
To: Lil'freeper
No word on why the heat's not working?
To: RosieCotton
I should have asked for a nice pair of gloves for Christmas. I did get some nice socks that I've started wearing just to bed, because they're so warm and fuzzy.

No, but they are working opn it. they managed tgo get it to blow more cold airt. very irritating.
the funny thing is tht when the AC won't work and we have to shut down the omputers- it takes days to get it resolved. Prtiorities, i guess.
Argh, gloves + typing = dopn't mix (sorry if there's a double post. Computer is cold, too.)

I think I could do it on D's spring break maybe. But won't you be going somewhere then too W? Maybe yours and D's is different this year?

Good morning all!
Wn...Footsoakmoot sounds like it's shaping up quite well, with all your planning! Although I "have a horrible feeling that the cakes might run short." LOL
Don't forget mrsnad! And I'm glad you remembered ROSE! I knew I was missing someone in that list and probably still am...

Good morning! It's cold here. Sunny, too, so at least no more snow. I have classes today...

It's supposed to snow tonight, just a light snow, but it is obviously warmer than it was yesterday...it was 17 yesterday, 28 today. Supposed to get up into the upper 30s though...not too bad.

It's going to be about 15 here, I think, although when I think about Rosie that doesn't seem too bad.

Okay, here's what we'll do. We'll figure out a good date for all of us, you pick up PurpleQ on your way through Waco and OT and I will meet ya'll there. Or, you and PQ can get to WF and we'll go together. But, that would add a lot of extra miles to ya'll trip.I have a good back way from here to Waco and then to Dallas. 2J how far from Dallas are you?
To: Overtaxed
LOL No, they are pretty confident in our affection.
We have them totally sectioned off now in the back part of the yard because of the poop. I have mixed feelings about this, because although I do not enjoy stepping in the poop, I did enjoy the fact that they kept the base of the house black widow free.
We may have to rig it up so that they have access to the base of the house now and then.

It's not that cold here... rarely drops below 0, except at night sometimes.

Hey, I went to the thrift store and got a queen-sized dust ruffle, looks never used, still has the package folded marks on it, fabric still stiff feeling! Literally looks brand new.
I wanted a plain colored one, like beige or even white...this one has flowers on it, but it is ok, because it matches the big homemade quilt my MIL gave me (and I like to pretend is a bonefide comforter).
How much did it cost??
***drum roll***
A buck twenty-nine.

Wow, that's nice!
If my bed has sheets, pillows and a blanket, that's all that matters to me. But that is a good find!

Yeah, that's the way I've pretty well been...just so long as it is warm! I mean, I never even used to make the bed, no one ever saw my bed, so who cared, you know?
But since I got the house cleaned up, I wanted something to make it look a bit nice...
The walls in our room are absolutely blank. Nothing but one little picture of the jedis hanging on it.
If I can find a nice mirror at a thrift store or garage sale, I'm going to get one. I think it would make the room look a little larger. It is super tiny!
