I signed up for Netflix last night, and ordered the animated versions of FotR and RotK, but alas, they're on a "short wait".

The first three disks of 'Band of Brothers' are on their way today. I've also got 'Watership Down' and some old episodes of 'The Muppet Show' in the queue.

This is SUCH a cool thing! These guys have everything!

I saw that too! I thought it was hysterical. Is it me, or is that girl just another rich snob...she was already getting on my nerves...lol

Oh, and by the way, you all would be glad to know that "Where there's a whip" was running through my head ALL night last night as I was trying to get some sleep! lol...man...that is one infectious tune!! I couldn't get rid of it! What's that word?..."Earworm"? Yeah, it definitely caused me earworm.

It even got to the point where my brain was jazzing it up a bit, playing it to the tune of 'Superfreak' by Rick James.

Good morning! I hafta go to work today...it's going to be insane, I'm sure - first day of the semester, and we changed everyone's passwords in that change-over we did after Christmas. And I'm out of the loop...should make things interesting.

Eating eggses and fried potatoes for breakfast. Holding myself to a higher standard since Entmoot.

Sounds like you've got quite a day in store for you!

My boss is being targeted by his bosses and he, in turn, is coming down on us. He's basically an incompetent boob who doesn't deserve his position. Actually, our department doesn't even need a Director...we managed for 9 whole months without one, but they still hired him for some reason.

He's one of those people who thinks he can lead a team after only reading a few books on management skills. It's really funny actually. We can tell when he's read a new management book over the weekend by the catch-phrases he uses on Monday mornings. Yesterday, he was using his "Alpha-Male" voice, so we think he must have read something by Tony Robbins over this past weekend.

We have absolutely no respect for him whatsoever, and he knows it. He tries so hard to "lead us", but we're always 2 steps ahead of him with everything that our department needs to do. So, to compensate for his lack of leadership skills, he assigns us these ridiculous, illogical, time-wasting, BS tasks that amount to nothing. It really is quite a circus!

So, some of us got together and made our concerns known to his bosses, and now the heat is coming down on him. He was in rare form yesterday...flipping out over the littlest thing, and assigning us the most redundant work to do in addition to what we already do!

Really, I love my job, but not recently. Something will have to give before this situation gets better. We're hoping he quits before they fire him...as firing him will take an insanely long time.
