The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Instead, we got Jesse, and no expectations, and victimization, and pimping. Feh.

Quote of the Day!

Where's your brother? I asked him to pass me a beer and he disappeared!

This is the same guy that sings the main song in the Hobbit, right?

Glenn Yarborough; the same guy who sang "Baby, the Rain Must Fall". That's a few years before your time, though! ;o)

Strange you should mention Yarborough. Just last night I was listening to Glen Campbell's version of the song 'Hey Little One', and wondering who first recorded it. Was it he maybe??

I like the collage! I see the wax figure of Jean Paul Gaultier up at the top, and it looks like Frodo in front of the wierdly colored dead marsh in the middle right.

He did have some fun adventures, didn't he?

Honestly, I don't know... I'm not familiar with any of his work, except what I've found doing Google searches in relation to his singing in the Rankin/Bass versions of The Hobbit and Return of the King.

Great job on the collage!

On the palm I would think lotsa water and lotsa warm. A lamp on it for those months might be good.

I've told ya about my talking Gollum for Christmas, and the talking Bush my son game me. Hilarious, the kids faced them together with the humorous Bush speaking and Gollum responding, then the serious Bush speaking and Smeagol responding in conversations. Almost seems deliberately dialogued.

On the way home, someone asked us how we broke the ice, and one or the other of us said "What ice?"

You're right! From the time we met up at the airport, it was like 'old home week'!

Ha!

I actually ~have~ a grow light.... I wonder if it would help now, or only once the sprout appears... It is sitting right by a window for light, and it is generally about 65 in here.

Also thinking of telling my sibs to start addressing me as 'nee-san'

You want them to call you by the name of a CAR?

We really like the van we drove last week. I was asking Clare and Joseph what they thought of the interior room. It seemed roomier than my Windstar. We'll have to check it out locally before we have to buy a new van!

I just looked it up and no, guess not. Glen wrote it so I guess he sang it first. I thought I remembered someone else did it first. I was wondering the same thing about the Highwayman. Who did that one first Glen or the Willie, Waylon outlaws group? Just wondering out loud. i should go look.

Sheesh! What do the biracial kids do ... take half a day?

ROTFL!! Thanks for letting me know about the recipes. I'll check em out!

Fixing to go watch The Ring. SSQ tells me it was a good movie; I'm not so sure, but I'll give it a try.

Great line on tonight's Daily Show: "You never know whether you're going to get 'Smeagol Dean' or 'Gollum Dean'."

Ripped off from the Dean SNAPS thread.

Saw Richard Lugar once in a bookstore in McLean VA. Didn't talk to him though cause for the life of me I couldn't remember the man's name while I was in there!! Thought of it on the way home. DOH!
