Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

We miss you guys!
Glad to hear you made it home safe!
We lucked out and missed the coldest weather. Supposedly our town made the national news for getting down to -37. Not quite a record, but darn cold. It's been above zero since we've been back.
To: RosieCotton
It's not quite negative temps here, but I've started showering at night so my hair doesn't freeze in the morning. My hair's so thick it takes half an hour to blow dry and I just don't have that kind of time.
Sigh. Tomorrow, I get up, go to work, go to school, go back to work, go back to school, go back to work, and go to choir. Hopefully I'll be in before 10. At least I can have my computer at the office...

That was good pizza, too.
And by then we'd pretty much settled in...not like we needed much settling. On the way home, someone asked us how we broke the ice, and one or the other of us said "What ice?"
I think we just picked up from where we'd last posted!

Mr. Magoo??!
My whole worldview has been altered...
To: RosieCotton
Well, the voice of Mr. Magoo himself was Jim Backus. But Casey Kasem was a voice actor on that cartoon, doing other voices.

Ice? No ice! Hobbits are always happy to meet old friends for the first time!
It was incredible, wasn't it? I keep telling my sister things. I think she's getting bored. By the way, I think you should get a customized license plate.

Oh, OK. Now I feel better. I didn't read the entry well enough.
To: RosieCotton
I thought Mr. Howell did Mr. Magoo.

License plate saying what?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Jim Backus!! Yes... that's right. He was, of course, Mr. Howell on Gilligan's Island.
Ran into him once... in the gift shop of the Empress Hotel in Victoria B.C. One of those unexpected things... What do you say to an actor you know very well but was never really all that great? :-)
To: RosieCotton
Can't you guess?

I never knew Shaggy's real first name was "Norville".
