Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

No, didn't eat them.... and my Dad would cut them up and throw them back.... Salmon-competing species control. We don't release them as nicely as that guy did on the beach for us, nor does he probably, when tourists aren't watching. It isn't always safe to unhook them (or really survivable for the dogfish) if they are well-hooked anyhow.

Congrats, Trini!
Well I am kinda webpaged out now (just finished updating the navigation menus for the new gallery pages). And I woke up at 2:30 this morning and could not get back to sleep. Don't know if it was a time-change issue or what. I am gonna hit the couch and see if sleep comes to me.
Talk to ya'll later.

**I suggest marinate it, sear it in a big pan and slow roast it in the oven covered.**
Sounds like what I'm gonna do.
I don't know if I've ever had a plain raw ham before...I've always had them cured some way or other.
Smoking would be good...but I don't have a smoker...
Wonder if I could use the Road Grill? Just toss some wood chips on the flame?

THAT's more like what I hoped for when someone came in and said someone caught a shark on the beach!!

Oh, nothing rubs me the wrong way! I like the Texans I've met. It's just not quite my way of life. And, er, I have problems with a lot of Texas accents. Understand them, that is.
I just moved my car down to the street so that the snow won't prevent me from getting to work tomorrow...

Shark tastes pretty good. It's one of my favourite fish because it doesn't have bones. I also really like grouper, dolphin and raw tuna. Not much into Salmon though. Yeah, I'm an odd duck. But I gotta run, the family beckons.
To: HairOfTheDog
I figured as much!
Truth be told, I would have liked to see something that size too. Just so I could justify my sea-paramoia to you all! LOL!!!

Sounds good, but put it on very low heat so it doesn't dry out. YUM! Gotta run, see you guys later!
To: 2Jedismom
Smoking would be good...but I don't have a smoker... The way I smoke a shoulder is to put the coals on one side of the grill and the shoulder on the other and throw the soaked chips on the coals. It takes about an hour a pound to do it that way and should work with a ham too...you want a fatty cut of meat. Something like a loin would dry out too fast. I've never tried curing a ham.

It's just not quite my way of life.Uhm, I don't understand, but that's ok.
Heh, I'd love to see you down here for a visit, just to see your reactions.

That's such a warm and fuzzy image to have implanted in your brain just as you walk to the surfline, isn't it?

I loved Jen protectively herding Rosie's sibs back downstairs when she saw it was on! "Hurry" "Hurry!"
We are so bad!

*laughing*
We are wicked at times, but I cannot help it! South Park is hilarious!
I love Mr. Garrison's attempt to write a romance novel.
