The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Too bad we didn't catch ecurbh the Billy Goat in mid air springing from rock to rock.I likes climbing around on rocks! When I was growing up, our yard looked like this (that's my older sis in the picture):
We had a school next door, but between it and our house was an empty lot that was just a HUGH rock pile. Spent many a happy childhood afternoon playing among those rocks. All kinds of cool nooks and crannies that could be made into forts.

It was bone cracking cold when we got back, Sam. We had planned to layover in NYC about 7 hours to do some sightseeing, but it was so cold we decided to take the earlier train home. Joseph and I walked out of Penn Station and he got to see the Empire State Building, but in that short minute or two we were outside, our faces started to hurt from the cold!
We were a record -13 the night we came home, and not much warmer the following day and night. Today, it's a balmy 28 degrees and snowing! Looks like next weekend is gonna be frigid, though.

Thanks. Have fun with the singing orcs!

It's cold here, I'm not sure how cold. And it snowed last night and the roads are icy. I just hope it's clear by tomorrow.... I've got a long drive to work...

Cold here, but sunny and it's dry. Just got back from the store....think I'll put on FOTR, get my roast chicken going, and work on Entmoot.

Read initially as: "Try some Napoleon."
Yes, smacking a short little man with an attitude around DOES keep one's mind off of itching.
And, I wasn't the only one who saw that read as the above.
My sister saw that and said that she has an obsession with short little men.

Speaking of hams...
Andrew (Steve's pal) got a pig! Wild pig, you know? Down in South Oklahoma on his folk's land. He's going to give us a ham! I'm thrilled, I love pig more than deer, hate to say.
I asked Steve if he'd take me down there to hunt. He said "I took you hunting already."
"I mean, really hunting, where I carry a gun and all..."I replied.
"No", he said..."Women don't hunt."
I said "I don't want to hunt for SPORT...I want to hunt because I'm HUNGRY!"
"Besides," I went on..."You must admit, I looked stunning in my flame orange vest and cap."
"Well, I will admit that." he replied!
LOL!!! What a conversation, huh? We were both just kiddin' each other.

Good! I hope he makes hunting a hobby you two can share... It's fun. And I would guess couples that carry guns together tend to be more respecting and polite to each other!
