    love may
make the world
go round, but its gravidity
that makes it bulge
at the equator

    she felt free
to flee
the artistry
of incumberance
and monastery
preferring
the flimsy
blueprints
of unbuilt
shelter
infinite
in possibility

    i linger
 too long
 in a somber room
 with so many
 unmatched windows
 tinted gray
 wanting for daylight
 but tainted by dawns
 that don't illuminate

    I, too, lingered
in the twilight of time
only to find dusk
had fallen at my feet
while twilight had
become day
dawn stayed gray

    "preferring
the flimsy
blueprints
of unbuilt
shelter"

her ramshackle retreat
suits her spartan heart
not lacking warmth
just unburdened with cares
or excess
austere in abundant lack
of amenities or antagonism
peacefully content to be
restlessly waiting
for some
one
thing
body
where she can feel
at home

To: Camachee
    heartless home
homeless heart
some things end
before they start

fearless love
seeks its own
fleeing from
a heartless home

loveless love
friendship true
some things start
and end with you

homeless heart
vagabond
waits for none
and moves along

lifelong quest
takes as can
thus loves one

    Urban renewal

Weeds wreck the best laid
concrete cracking the staid
assurance of a permanent path
with their soft shouldered
heave ho, up and down
seasonal come and go
devolving the quest
for light to make seeds
anticipating next years
attempt at catching
the reason for stars,
recreating the laugh
that began a universe,
and they have a ball
doing it.

    Chalk

The moon is sickling
the sky, harvesting
the constellations
in the afterglow of dust
 then sinking behind the roofs
that are silvered with the light
 left harvest that lingers
upon the slate.
The lesson written then erased
by the dark shadow cast
by sunrise
regarded in a moment
of surprise.

    tell me
 about your art
 the part
 extending beyond
 limitations
 of palettes
 and pale obstructions
 imagined
 uncommissioned
 and unashamed

    Ideology is a fashion
 concept that sees
 thru the fabric
 of conspicuous cover
 but still offers a colour
 for the transparency
 that makes phenomenology
 a brand name yet
 to be applied.

    Strike the light pulled
 from a burnt sienna wash
 and added and subtracted
 a portrait in tones
 that suggest only
 the planes that define
 the emergent personality,
and who are you is a question
 that is answered in values
that may or may not aquire
 the patina of colours
 because most of us dream
 in black and white.

    He dazzled with
colour, cut and clarity,
 a rounder that suggested
an engagement
that had nothing
to do with diamonds.

    Her color was polished
 ground and filed
 her promise was brilliance
 and a brief engagement
 of frazzle, dazzle
 a fizzle that burned out
 with a bang :-)
