Even when he doesn't have fleas, he still rips out his fur.
I can't get him to stop either. Even after treating him.

What is his name? (oh Lord, don't let him be a gothic cat) LOL And is he an inside or outside cat, or both?

Shadow Racer, Shadow for short. Indoor cat.
Personally, I think he must be a gothic cat
since he's obviously filled with extreme angst.

LOL. Well, I am going to go out on a limb here with other cat owners with my opinion. I think cats just need to wander outside. Yes, I know they are totally safe indoors, but so what. I have had the most interesting conversations with cat owners on threads, in which they say they let their young children play outside unsupervised, but never let their cats see the light of day. If your cat seems to have some sort of nervous problem, have you ever considered letting him roam outside?

NO! The speed limit around here is 35, yet people
drive at 50 or faster. We had a cat get hit.
Personally, I wouldn't let my children run around
unsupervised either. I don't even have any yet.
There are stories upon stories of kids getting
snatched & noone sees a thing. I would do what I
have to to ensure my kids weren't just another story.
I'm that protective of my cat as well.

He's such an old man, he'll be 11 in august.
Hard to believe I've had him that long. And
he's such a big baby, literally. He's about
18lbs of muscle. Has an interesting talent as
well, he speaks. Well, kinda.

My Conservative Cat is eight years old. He is also a spoiled baby. Besides his Iams dry cat food, he always gets a teaspoon of some fancy wet cat food in the evening. He always starts whining for it way before time. He is also a fair weather friend. In the summer he stays out all night and sometimes brings us the most lovely present which he lays on the porch....half a baby rabbit or half a bird. My vet says that he is being loving by saving us the best part. Ugh. In the winter, he stays in cuddled on top of our electric blanket. LOL

OMG, I know. But, the whiners do not, it seems. Once I had a nice gentleman internet chat friend who was in WWII in the European theater. He was in an ordinance company and followed the troops, several weeks behind. He actually followed his older brother who was on the front. His brother told him after the war that of 200 men in his tank company, he and another soldier were the only survivors.

Promotions in the battlefield, of necessity, is hard for some young folks to understand, I suppose.

I'm sort of looking around for D-Day in Normandy figures...I think way more were lost there in one day than have been lost total in this war.....

.....Westy......

D-Day...I just presume the total is far far more than this war for casualties.

And, since I have been watching my Christmas gift of the Cival War series....I am numbed by the numbers killed in just a few minutes in battle.

All in one day.....

But some of the whiners will say that this is not a real war. The people who protest at Freedom Corner of my park (which was built by American Legion) say we have no business interfering in another country.

I say, if being attacked and having three thousand innocent persons (not military) killed is not just reason for war...then they will never have a reason....just excuses.
