Found
By Clive B Ringshall
Ive traveled so long,
With the vision of an angel,
With the feeling of her softness,
She'd smell of the perfect rose,
Ive looked, Ive settled for less,
I lived knowing in my heart,
You were out there just waiting,
I traveled further than before,
Knowing that out there my heart belonged,
Then one day without looking,
Without feeling, without interest,
I found you, You awoke the dieing embers of my life,
An angel so soft so gentle so giving,
I now know that I have found my love,
my soul, my friend, my lover,
My life long dream, is now reality,
Who could have thought that Id find an
Angel?
Is this real?
Please let it be.

I have to live with myself, and so
I want to be fit for myself to know.
I want to be able, as days go by,
Always to look myself straight in the eye;
I don't want to stand, with the setting sun,
And hate myself for the things I've done.
I want to go out with my head erect,
I want to desserve all men's respect:
For here in the struggle for fame and self
I want to be able to like myself.
I dont want to look at myself and know
That I'm bluster and bluff and empty show.
I never can hide myself from me;
I see what others may never see.
I know what others may never know.
I neer can fool myself, and so,
Whatever happens I want to be
Self-respecting and conscience fee.

Tao of the Renga *
crystals form like fallen ferns
fond memories flirting in time
gone the green essence of life
fine fronds weaving with the wind
feathery wisps of lace blend
with blue skies and autumn hues
light peers through, distant, haunting
an eery pause to reflect
our spirit seeks elusive truths
silence merely mocks with smiles
we yearn to hear the message
only sorrows pierce the calm
* Renga or "linked verse" is Japanese poetry
whereby people take turns adding lines or verses.
One types 7 (or 5) syllables -- not words -- in a line,
which is in turn completed by another person.
Poems can branch off in multiple lines to
form a "kika" or "branched verse".
The selection above, however, was composed
more or less properly(?) by this lone sole who
was inspired by patterns on a car windshield
photographed Nov. 6 in Walla Walla, Washington.
Interested parties are invited, nay encouraged, to
revise and extend my remarks, or lines to that effect.

I brought this over from yesterday's thread. Would anyone like to add to this poem by OESY?

Thank you so much for the beautiful weekend-end poem!
To: JustAmy
Brought on by loads of yard work, I had been in a deep sleep for the last four hours or so. It must have been an angel that woke me just in time to find "
Found."
I can't wait to read it to my love tomorrow (today). Thank you.
To: JustAmy; yall

Evening friends.
I'm so glad Sasso is doing better, Jen; and thanks so much for the poem, "A Rainbow Friend." I love it.
Trickle, Drops
by Walt Whitman
TRICKLE, drops! my blue veins leaving!
O drops of me! trickle, slow drops,
Candid, from me falling-drip, bleeding drops,
From wounds made to free you whence you were prison'd,
From my face-from my forehead and lips,
From my breast-from within where I was conceal'd-press forth, red drops-confession drops;
Stain every page-stain every song I sing, every word I say, bloody drops;
Let them know your scarlet heat-let them glisten;
Saturate them with yourself, all ashamed and wet;
Glow upon all I have written, or shall write, bleeding drops;
Let it all be seen in your light, blushing drops.
