Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that the threat level has been lessened for many sectors in our country. We praise You, O God, that those charged with our security have stayed the course through these weeks, and continue to do so. Grant them a full measure of success, I pray, that those who remain in the shadows, still intent on harm, will be brought to light and rendered powerless.

There are yet other nations where terrorist activity can find safe haven, O God, and other governments that would offer shelter ... cause them to know that such shelter condemns them to instability ... may they work with those who seek such enemies, that all who plan destruction would be exposed and disarmed. Keep us focused and vigilant, no matter the threat level, lest we become complacent and vulnerable.

We thank You, Merciful Father, that You have brought us through this New Year without the shedding of innocent blood. May we continually seek Your protection over our government and its charge to preserve, protect, and defend ... may we continually seek Your protection over the vastness of our country and its enormous riches in resources and businesses and freedom loving people ... may we continually seek Your protection, for You are the foundation of our beloved United States of America ... may it be thus, Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

Amen! And yes Pegita, you are right we need to pray for the other countries that are under threat and especially for Israel, who it is a way of life for!
