heavily paraphased, the poster wrote for Muslims in the Northeast area (I think) to get out of there. Since 9/11, like everyone else, I've been vigilant here in NYC. There's this arab guy who operates a fruit concession right outside of Penn Station (looks like he stepped out of another century). He is there religiously every day. One of my commuting buddies and I have sort of a running joke going that if he's not there that means he got out of dodge. It's funny, because we noted that he wasn't there Friday and he wasn't there this morning.

I remember story of the Pakistani family leaving New York on 9-9 or 9-10 and giving a neighbor a heads up to stay out of Manhattan. I recall that it was not an urban legend.
