A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.
Thanks for the explanation; I saw that thread title earlier today but it had already gone bye-bye. My guess was that it was an anti-Muslim rant sparked by the Chinook helicopter incident and subsequest Mooselimb celebrations, and that it had been too venomous for the moderators to ignore. Now I see that it was something a shade more ominous.
It was directed at Debka critics on the thread, and I was one of those. So it was directed at me. And, since I thought it was a very despicable comparison, I responded accordingly.
The difference between this article from Debkha and whatever lies you've caught them in from the past is that there is something there.
Agreed. It was posted here on FR as well. Debka does get some stuff right. But that doesn't change the fact that the poster who said that Debka critics are harder on Debka than al Qaeda was full of ka-ka.
I saw it and was the last to respond to the thread before it was yanked (I must admit, my response violated the posting guidelines big-time). However, al Qaeda also has been reduced to taking credit for actions they could not have caused (such as that plane crash on Mt. Kenya), so I really don't know what to make of this. I think there is a better chance that this is meant as an empty threat than the chance that this is a precursor to any kind of domestic terror action.
And the cities of our Arab Muslim enemies and those of their supporters will cease to exist.
Outside of anniversay of attacks, Al-Queda only cares about days of siginificance to Islam, or their twisted version of it.
Yep, it sure is gratuitous to ridicule a media source that's been caught lying so many times.
