Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You are Sovereign ... in Your hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind (Job 12:10). We praise You, O God, that all the plans of man are nothing if they are not in accordance with Your good and perfect will.
There are those, Merciful Father, who would destroy us because of hate and envy ... and there are those, Merciful Father, who would protect us because of love and concern. It is our prayer that You would stay the hand of all those who plan evil, that no harm would befall, for it is Your will that we live peaceable lives. Bring to light every evil plan, that it would be destroyed ... encourage the hearts of those who seek to do Your will, that others would see that You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
May Your hand of mercy and protection cover our beloved country, not by merit of our own, but because You are God. You cause governments to rise and fall ... you cause armies to rise and fall ... may we find favor in Your sight, O Lord ... sustain us in our hour of need, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
