A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Err, not so cool if that's what it says, hopefully it will be fully translated before I leave work. Thanks for the info.

Is it me or has the remaining flight time on flt68 remained the same for quite a while? Or, do they not update in a timely manner? I keep getting 6:31 time remaining.
To: labowski
That's all I could squeeze out of a free web translator. If anyone has access to a web translator or reads Arabic, a translation would be much appreciated.

Hang on a sec = I've got it translated and am double checking it to make sure I haven't missed any idiomatic expressions or colloquiolisms. Will have a translation up in the next 10 or 15 minutes.
In summary, it predicts the destruction of an important American city, complains about the media not reporting their earlier missives, rpeats a warning to leave New York City, Washington DC, and Los Angeles, and goes into a diatribe about the US government being aware that the jihadis have weapns of destruction (their words, not mine - the implication is weapons of mass destruction) and how they came into the country.
Give me a few more minutes and I'll have the translation posted.
It's NOT pretty. It IS scary.

The flight is not yet in the US Flight Tracking Range; the software can then only estimate the flight's location/information.

Both of these suspected terrorists are from the town where I live. It sort of brings the terrorism thing a little too close for comfort.(that doesn't sound right, but you know what I mean)

More info on other flights being scrutinized.
"Hours later, the FBI, LAPD and other law enforcement officers also descended upon Aero Mexico Flight 490, which arrived late Christmas Day from Mexico City. The aircraft and passengers on that flight, originating in the Yucatan capital of Merida, also were thoroughly examined. Early in the week, counterterrorism officials told the Los Angeles Times that authorities were paying special attention to Los Angeles bound flights by Air France, Aero Mexico and Air Tahiti Nui for fear that they could be exploited by Al Qaeda". re post no. 4707...
And that's not the first news story regarding that subject.
IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN SERIOUSLY ADDRESSED. Now that we are on Code Orange, news articles like this are coming out.
Does anyone wonder how many ENEMIES are now THE ENEMIES WITHIN (the U.S.A.) and have not been identified by LEO's?

This (illegal immigration - letting the bad guys stroll right into America AT WILL) is the #1 thing that gets me the most upset of anything else.
The PC madness and desire of the Repubs to get more cheap labor and the Dems to get more votes is going to be the ultimate undoing of all of us, as WMD **WILL** in all likelihood hit us one day - possibly soon, if the various threats are to be believed.
I wonder IF a WMD attack would change the border policy.
I know that if I were Prez, those borders would be locked down tighter than Fort Knox.
But, hey..that's using common sense, no?
To: jstolzen
I think it's a way more difficult job than locking down the borders. Living in Miami, I am fully aware that there is major coastline that cannot be effectively secured. Close down the Mexican border and they'll ship out to our mainland in greater numbers.
As it is now, border patrol and the coast guard have their hands full.

Part of me wants to say that there's no way any terrorists will make me change my plans and curtail my activities, because if they make us stay home, they have technically won a small victory against our freedom. I'd like to flip al Qaeda the finger and lounge in the middle of Times Square with a drink and an American flag as we watch the ball come down for 2004.
But the sensible part of me says to stay home and watch it all on TV. Luckily for me, I don't really have to make this decision since I was planning to stay home anyway. As you said, why pitch a tent at a potential ground zero? Hopefully nothing at all will happen but if it should, I choose to live and be around for the payback.

Just saw a fighter jet overhead here in the east bay area of northern California. Probably heading toward SF.
To: debg
Thanks, debg..as I'm here in MI, I guess I'm not too familiar with the scope of what would be involved in securing the FLA coastline.
BUT..America has such amazing scientific and technological ability, I would think that there is SOME solution to keep the bad guys out.
IMHO, it's a matter of political and national will (or lack thereof, by Repubs and Dems alike). But I pretty much would guarantee that if any significant WMD hit the US, that this all would change. (Or would it?)
