Thanks, debg..as I'm here in MI, I guess I'm not too familiar with the scope of what would be involved in securing the FLA coastline.

BUT..America has such amazing scientific and technological ability, I would think that there is SOME solution to keep the bad guys out.

IMHO, it's a matter of political and national will (or lack thereof, by Repubs and Dems alike). But I pretty much would guarantee that if any significant WMD hit the US, that this all would change. (Or would it?)

I wasn't just thinking Florida. Terrorists who make it to Mexico, Central America, or the Caribbean could launch to our coastline with relative ease. Down here we catch illegals on camera once in awhile landing in the mangroves or in public areas. Far more land than we catch.
