[history]
Monday, November 3, 2003
A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

You asked about computers being hit, by terrorists.
Among the Google searches today, there was one that had a bunch of info on computer terrorist attacks.
I don't do fancy advanced searches, I simply tell Google what I think I want and it does the work, found more than I will be able to read in a month.
Try Google searches for:
when and where is the next terrorist attack?
(this rated a WOW, so will go back and do it again)
when will america be attacked by terrorists?
This lead to a very complete article on the threat and actions of 2003.
"The next Attack on America"
http://www.strategypage.com/messageboards/messages/89-4801.asp which terrorists are attacking America?
has bin Ladin been captured?
No, I don't need a lecture on how to use key words in searches, it works well for me as I do it.

Yeah. In general, I oppose censorship.
However, I confess, in recent years, I may have become more 95% in favor vs 98.8% of no censorship.
Am beginning to think that there ARE
vast areas of media which are DEVASTATINGLY DESTRUCTIVE to citizens and The Republic.
Trouble is, who censors; who chooses them and who monitors them and who monitors the monitors etc. etc. etc.

The only thing you posted I'm not certain of is an attack(s) on 2-2...something still does not feel right, but that is knowing a lot of work has gone into this thread that is not nonsense. If you connect the dots by Cindy,Calpernia,
WestCoastGal,FairOpinion;Pro-Bush,Donna Lee Nardo, and so, so many other's, real research and facts were the calling of the day not any alarmist posts by DaDa/EOM...there are many thousands of posts J, that still show something is going on. I just think we got off track some with the EOM/Daleel thing.

Glad you stopped in! We too are concerned with the Super Bowl/Houston and a few other things. but I remember we were worried about last years Superbowl also and discussed in length the tremendous security going on there. I'm sure we don't even have a clue the things that have since been developed to protect us now. The border's still continue to be our biggest vulnerability IMHO!

http://www.currentargus.com/artman/publish/article_4382.shtml "Explosive material identified"
By Erin Green/Current-Argus Staff Writer
Jan 24, 2004, 10:25 pm
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "CARLSBAD Suspicious material found in a cooler at West Wind Trailer Park on Friday was determined to be detonation cord by an Albuquerque-based state police bomb squad, officials said.
Police found about 20 feet of the material in a small cooler at the trailer park after area residents had been evacuated Friday afternoon. Officials said the material was stable enough so they were able to remove it from the scene by hand. The cord requires static electricity or a spark to ignite, police said.
Detonation cord is defined as a waterproof, flexible fabric tube containing a high explosive designed to transmit the detonation wave. The material is commonly used in quarries and is often used in situations where the charge is so light that it would not be transmitted without the cord.
Why a resident of the trailer park had a length of this material in his storage shed is still unclear. The incident remains under investigation, officials said Saturday."

I like the **code** because we do not want to be 'punked' anymore, this issue is just too serious for us to start looking like our thread, we've worked so hard on, as if it were not credible. Because it is a very credible thread with true resources contained within.
A thread like this can become a magnet for hackers, intruders, jihadists, disruptors, alarmists and liars.Your right in saying it is good to weed them out, but the downside to that is by accepting words from strangers, we begin to look kind of silly and feel badly you know?
We have different levels of naive and trusting here. I put myself right smack in the middle of that. I am overtly suspicious and trusting. Alot of our poster's are so sweet and cannot understand there are other posters that would do that to us. The shock of it still affects me that they would.
We do need some type of form here where we can help one another in the 'weeding' out.

On the other hand if he's a semi-official or official publicity mouthpiece, he's talked entirely too much about operational details and has done a poor job of publicity.
And the Feds would do one of two things with him: 1. He wouldn't be posting any longer 2. Laugh at him for having the audacity to make claims that are not proven

I've been thinking about what the significance of the 19/19/19/24 numbers at the bottom of one of Daleel's posts might be. We have heard in several posts an attack is being prepared against the U.S. that is unimagineable in terms of what it is and where it will come from. We have also been told in past posts that the one part of OBL's (Al Qaida, all radical muslims in general) plan is to create a nation by occupying land somewhere (who knows where, or how) at some point in time from which they will grow their "Evil Empire".
If you take the numbers 19/19/19/24 and consider them as years, then 1919-1924 is very interesting. Those are the years in which the Khilafat Movement occurred. I've posted below a few excerpts from a few sites I found by googling that give some information on this movement. While the movement failed in the end, it is still today considered by most Muslims as very significant in its symbolism. Bottom line is, "Could India somehow be part of OBL's plan?" Considering their nuclear capabilities, and Muslim population, it's a rather unsettling thought.
A few quotes:
"Although the Khilafat Movement failed to achieve its declared objectives, it carried political awakening to large masses of Muslims. It was during the Khilafat days that representatives of Indian Muslims came into contact with eminent personages from other Muslims countries to save the semblance of unity in the world of Islam."
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/post?id=1013726%2C15159
"The Khilafat Movement has been idealised as an anti-colonial movement. But the main 'achievement' of the Movement was the turning away of Indian Muslims from a secular understanding of politics, towards a religious and communalist one. It has left a legacy of political activism of the Muslim clergy that bedevils Indian and Pakistani politics to this day. One final irony of it is that the Movement betrayed both Turkish Nationalism and also Arab Nationalism."
"A couple of years ago, I hosted a two-hour question and answer session on the world-wide Al Jazira TV with an audience of 70,000,000. When I promised to answer all questions, both in English and Arabic, I was peppered with questions about the Khilafat by professional ideologues in this world-wide Hisb al Tahrir movement. They are less scary that Osama bin Laden only because they have not yet endorsed violence. No doubt, they have not been targeted yet by the religious right in America because they oppose the Wahhabis, even though the Khilafat movement is made to order for Osama bin Laden and is moving in his direction."
