Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

re post no. 14592...

Yes. I think that's kind of the idea.

Remember that blue type graphic where UBL is riding his motorcycle or ATV type vehicle behind a tank? That was pretty recent, too.

I've been seeing this motorcycle theme played out on as I cyber travel to spot of interest this week.

You may be right. And even if they did get Bin-laden and that is a BIG IF! Then I can't imagine that he did not plan for others to take his place and carry on.

regarding "cave of darkness" and US in 3 parts...Does anyone know how many electric grids there are in the US?...are there major grids that will shut down important part of the US like north east coast, south east coast and west coast...if this happened, it could really kill the flow of goods and money around the US...it would not be too difficult to place a bomb on the power lines of a city or county...no one would have to commit a suicide bombing in this scenario

Don't all the message from EOM,Daleel, etc. all say that a coming attack will be something that we will not expect?

A 14 year old could generate this WMV no problemo.

Bingo! Exactly what I've been saying all along.

Yet, ya gotta admit..it's sure got a lot of us pretty worked up.

Me..I think it was put together by a teenager in Idaho (metaphor, but you know where I'm going w/that).

Now, on the other hand, there ARE lots of things that seem more worrisome than the "end US" hell video. Like, the info that the UK is deploying hundreds of nuke decontamination units and portable radiation detectors (Debka, last night. Will research the source in a bit). THIS scares me.

An old expression I often try to live by..

Watch what they do, not what they say.

In this case, watching what they (UK) is doing belies the REAL threat, and that is far more scary than some "video" that a teenager probably put together on their PC in 20 minutes or so from old movie clips like "Deep Impact".

Watch what they do, not what they say.

Hmmmm..

From DEBKA: "Britain issues radiation detectors to ambulance and hospital staff in case they are called to treat “dirty bomb” victims. Among other anti-terror measures, 360 mobile decontamination units dispersed around country."

I wonder if the threat is not limited to "dirty bombs". Rad detectors would be appropriate for suitcase nuke threat as well, I'd imagine.

I've often wondered if the "official" line we get about seeing NEST deployed, etc has to do with calming the sheeples - and the real threat IS suitcase or tactical nukes. Guess it would be a pretty good cover to say "we're taking measures to prevent/respond to a dirty bomb attack".

Guess we will never know until something happens, but this one concerns me quite a bit.

Pre 9-11, many of us would probably have found a threat about demolishing the WTC with airplanes pretty unlikely. So, it's kinda hard to write off suitcase nukes (which there is PLENTY of evidence for from Lebed and so many other sources).

Once 2/4 comes and goes, I'm going to TRY to be done worrying about what they can and can't do, since I'm 100% convinced they will use them "between the Eids" if they have them. Of course, I thought that about SOTU as well, and nothing happened. Hmmmm...

Not to be cryptic, but there is a "next generation" threat past dirty bombs and suitcase nukes that is concerning as well.

It would be interesting to see exactly what type of equipment is being deployed, just to see what type of threat they expect.

BASF guard shot Freeport, Texas Chemical Plant Complex
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1064351/posts

FREEPORT — Police were looking for a man Friday night who they said shot a BASF security guard at the perimeter of the plant near FM 1495 and Highway 36.

Freeport Police Chief Henrietta Gonzalez said the guard approached a suspicious truck about 9:20 p.m. and the man inside said he had been taking pictures. He then shot the guard in the shoulder area, Gonzalez said.

“He was shot at point-blank range,” said Detective Sgt. Sue Dietrich. “You could see the powder burns.”

Police did not release the guard’s name, but said he was doing well at Brazosport Memorial Hospital late Friday night.

The guard told police the shooter was a man of Middle-Eastern descent with bushy hair and a mustache, and had been driving a white pickup with tinted windows and a black stripe. The truck did not have a front license plate, according to police radio reports.

BASF spokeswoman Sharon Rogers said there is no indication the shooting is linked to terrorism.

“There is nothing for us to indicate anything other than there is a shooting that happened on our property,” Rogers said. “We’ll just have to see what the investigation will reveal.”

Rogers said the security guard was employeed by Munday Corp., which provides the plant’s security force.

The culprit left the scene just after the shooting and did not get inside the plant gates, police said.

As of 10:30 p.m., Dietrich said the incident was not being investigated as an attempted terrorist attack.

FBI officials in Houston confirmed they had been notified of the incident but would not comment further.

The guard had been patrolling the perimeter of the plant, outside the gate and near a water tower, but in view of the plant’s ammonia tank. There was no access road or gate into the plant from the site of the shooting.

The wounded guard managed to drive down FM 1495 to the nearest plant gate, where an off-duty sheriff’s deputy working security at the plant called police.

The truck was last seen heading west on Highway 36, according to police radio reports.
