Wolfe wins on issues (and I sent him $100). Let's hope that issues can overcome inertia...

He is staunchly pro-life, opposes the "radical homosexual agenda" and wants to take funding away from museums and theater groups that produce "pornography."

What's not to love?!

THERE IS HOPE: We've raised $480 so far since Jay was here last Friday. These funds are on their way to the "Friends of Jay Wolfe" committee explicitly earmarked for newspaper ads in the eastern panhandle.

We're looking to raise $2100 to cover the election insert, a half page Sunday ad on Oct 27, and a full page ad on Nov 3. This works out to $700 per county in the tri-county panhandle reached by this paper's circulation. If any Freepers can help us with this goal, that would be great! Similar funding is required for issue ads throughout the state.

PS: Those hunting licence lists meantioned by EV cost $$$money$$$ to purchase and mail.

If it says Rockefeller, that means that you need to vote for the other guy. This applies regardless if a Rockefeller is a Republican.

He really had me going his way until I ran into this little example of insanity. Who would it be that he picks to define what "pornography" is,a deacon?

"I believe there is a war in this country right now over morals," Wolfe said.

Right. This is just what we need, another "war" to be waged against his fellow Americans.

It was not unusual to receive 3 pieces of mail per day from the NRC. After writing to them no less than 10 times (really), I finally have been removed from their mailing list.

The topic of your post is one of the reasons I have extricated myself from that organization. I also refuse to contribute to an organization that not only refuses to support quality candidates, but continues to support rinos like Specter, Chaffee, Snowe etc.

I now contribute directly to the campaigns of candidates. Thank you for providing Jay's address.

At least if you pull off the miracle upset, you'll be able to walk into that first Republican conference and tell them "I don't owe you anything. You folks didn't lift a finger to get me elected so if you want my cooperation, you'll have to earn it like anyone else."

Sounds like a good investment. $25 from a poor college student in hopes for an upset in WV.

Is there any chance that some national conservative group would be willing to help the campaign? Have you considered asking National Right to Life to sponsor a mailing or just providing a voter guide on pro-life issues? If there were some Right to Life chapters in West Virginia that could put the guides on cars at churches or similar places, it would give you some quick, positive exposure at a very low cost. Are there any gospel singers with strong ties to the pro-life movement who would consider giving a free concert? Are there any gospel concerts where you would be allowed to set up a booth and give palm cards? Are you allowed to give literature at high school football games? Maybe none of this is helpful, but these are a few ideas for low-budget campaigning.
