In Italy every newly built or remodeled house has to have a bidet. You still use a small amount of toilet paper at the end, but not nearly as much as you do here. Keep in mind that a lot of houses in other parts of the world were build prior to indoor plumbing and electricity.
In many places the only additions allowed on the exterior to these older homes is to add a bathroom. Meaning you can not make that 500 year old tiny window larger. Yet, you can add on a bathroom. Showers larger than 2’ square are also a rarity.
There is no rational reason to allow persons incompatible and/or actively against our country and social norms. Not as guests and damn sure not as citizens. This should be codified and enforced immediately.
It is not a racist or irrational phobia, it is common damn sense.

I pray that the non-muslim world wakes up before the world is consumed by Islam. It’s absurd from my perspective that Islamists who attacked capitalism and Christianity and our basic way of life by registering their wicked demonic intent on America by bringing down the Twin Towers, are still freely operating in this country. Indeed, these demonic merchants of death, conquest, and proponents of submission to Allah are now operating in our backyards in overdrive. Worse yet, many others seem to be in a stupor, intent on simply overlooking it all. The explanation to this ridged dichotomy is the work of the Devil casting his spell over this country, causing people to become numb and dumb to his Jihadist tyrant invasion. I got a comment the other day from someone who faulted my Christian beliefs for opposing Islam. That there are people who are so numb and dumb to Islam’s existential threat to suggest that my Christian opposition to Islam will lead to my ignorant demise, things have clearly come off the rails in this country. I will plead ignorance any day should proclaiming my Christian belief system lead to my demise. My question is this: How long will it take before the people wake up and BAN Islam’s scourge on America? It’s beyond rational debate that Islam and sharia are diametrically opposed to our basic freedoms and way of life. Such proponents of this death ideology, i.e., killing thousands in the Twin Tower attack rightfully should be described as subversive enemies of America. I would include Communism in the BAN. Supporters of these belief systems - Islamism and Communism - are nihilists any tyrants, intent on destroying our way of life and if people are too numb and dumb to understand this, this country has a very serious problem. Isn’t it rational and logical to BAN invaders who are intent on actively undermining our government by such destructive means? We know free speech is not limitless. When speech actively recruits destructive subversives, it transforms into treason. Such treason is now operating freely within this country. Anyone who actively advocates and engages in indoctrinating and recruiting Americans to overthrow their own country has gone beyond free speech and such individuals must rightfully be labeled traitors. These subversives are destructive nihilists, enemies of a civilized people and I pray that the people wake up and recognize it as such before they, themselves, become victims of such traitors.

Yes well aware of it and most Europeans that use a bidet wash their rear with their hand and soap and water. Sometimes there are small personsl towels you could use them but I think they are mostly for drying. Asia uses a bidet or a ladle to wash with water.
I would assume most of the Arabs here with access to water wash their hands and their rears as well.
Of course the Muslim woman was being insulting but it’s pretty funny all the people here wiping their rears with papaer in their hands think they are the height of hygiene.
From what little I know, Asians are an extremely clean people. Japan certainly is the best with electric bidets that gently power wash you. Readily available in the US for a few hundred bucks.
I was reading a history of the Christian religion, and in discussing conditions in the Roman Empire before Christ they described how belief in the old gods had weakened. People need religious belief and rituals and this resulted in Eastern religions from Egypt, Asia Minor, etc becoming popular.
We created similar situations with our secular society, attacking Christianity and driving God and morality from school.
This creates a society that will accept Islam because at least they believe in something.
On the roof of St Peters in Rome they have public toilets with exactly that set up, place for your feet, open hole below and you stand. Not as clean as in your picture.
I forget if they had any toilet paper close at hand, didn’t use it for that.
But I do know I once used a urinal in Rome and the tough lady attendant sitting at a desk outside sent me back in because I forgot to flush.
