Iran’s regime lost the war the moment American force and economic pressure exposed its bluff; what remains is the slow collapse of a terror state running out of money, options, and time.
Some nearly stochastic notes on Iran. I begin by singing the same song I have been crooning since President Trump announced the ceasefire and naval blockade in mid-April. The war is over. If this were a novel, we’d be in epilogue territory where we tie up some loose threads in the plot and learn about the fates of various characters.
First, let’s talk about money, or rather Iran’s lack thereof. On February 28, the US and Israeli militaries unleashed Operation Epic Fury (“Roaring Lion” in Israel). Despite what you hear from the Left (and from the Iranian propaganda mill), that was one of the most successful and also one of the quickest military operations in history. But the inventory of ships sunk, air defenses obliterated, drones and ballistic missiles incinerated, arms manufacturing infrastructure exploded, and regime leaders eliminated tells only part of the story. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent outlined another current of the narrative in his ongoing description of Operation Economic Fury.
The naval blockade, which interdicts shipping to and from Iranian ports, is costing the regime some $500 million per day. The current exchange rate is nearing two million Iranian rials for one US dollar. Iran’s effort to circumvent the blockade via land routes from Pakistan will never amount to much. Bessent summarized the status quo for regime leaders who might be puzzled:
It is very difficult for rats in a sewer pipe to know what’s going on in the outside world. Some color for the Iranian leadership as they literally sit in the dark...

Hamas is a lot worse off than the IRGC and they seem to be holding onto their power quite well because no one seems to have the will to get rid of them either.
I fear the “last days” of the regime will only be seen if the shah goes back and leads the people to rise up. And that will require boots on the ground support. To make it as short as possible, blow away Kharg island, their grid, and travel infrastructure (railways, ports, etc.)
The Iranian people might not have the right stuff.
It sure doesn’t look like it from where I sit.
YMMV

Most people weren’t betting on George.
Unfortunately, the IRGC has most of the guns.
In addition, the IRGC has most of the psychopathic killers.
To have a George Washington equivalent, we would also need to draw some parallels between modern Iran and colonial America.
Good luck with finding any.
This is why Trump isn’t blowing up Kharg Island. If the Iranian people rise up and overthrow the theocracy that currently rules Iran, they will need a source of revenue to rebuild their economy and social overhead capital. The new gov’t will need to help the people as it rebuilds. Leaving Kharg intact is the way to do this.
At least George was in the field stirring up trouble.
They’ll still be around for awhile. Soon, they (”Persia”) will join Russia’s losing invasion of Israel (Ez.38). IMO before the end of this century.
Trump is actually moving things along Biblically. Iran is going to be humiliated but they will be back with a vengeance after they cozy up to their nuke-wielding pals.
Trump’s got this - he needs to stay the course...
Sun Tzu cautioned against underestimating your enemy.
It looks like the mullahs underestimated Trump.
And Trump underestimated the mullahs.
So now we’re in “rolling of the dice” territory.
Most of them were recently murdered though...unfortunately we couldn’t get an opportunity earlier to take out the entire leadership...so we just missed the window of helpign those that will rise up from being murdered.
At least George was in the field stirring up trouble.
“In addition, the IRGC has most of the psychopathic killers.”
And they are the true believng fanatics very willing to suffer and die for their beliefs. They are not easily dissuaded... but we”ll see.
And you can send one of yourself as you're being killed by a terrorist.

Very possible if not probable future scenario. It's all about the oil.
The DemonRAT Party of Death and their “media” bloodsuckers are trying to save the ayatollah’s arse.
