We are interested in hearing from any Christian individual who has the experience of living and working (or having lived and worked), for 1,000 days or longer, inside of a country governed by a totalitarian or authoritarian system or regime; that governing system/regime being either religious or atheistic.
When we say, totalitarian or authoritarian, we give as examples: communist, National Socialist, authoritarian military junta, Islamic or Mohammedan, or the like. If otherwise, you may describe your own situation, and we may find that it applies.
We hope to form a council or fellowship for educational and informational purposes, and our goal is a minimum of twenty-four (24) persons to form such a council.

Yes, you understand. It’s overwhelming. And in Japan…. That’s quite a stark difference indeed. You can only imagine how they handled security, They obviously have been thru a security line before, so I didn’t understand why it was so hard for them to understand that they needed to remove their shoes. Or how to put their suitcases into the X-ray. Everyone in front of them were doing it. They were shown what to do by employees displaying the action. Yet they would stand there blank faced. SMH
I only hit about 220 days in China. It was an eye-opener to this then-25 year old. Got there two weeks after Mao had died.

Yes. I lived through the most Totalitarian administration the U.S. has ever seen. The Biden Administration. That was hell.
I lived a thousand days under Franco, but I was an American sailor—not allowed to wear the uniform, given a Spanish/Madrid license plate for my old BMW 1800, and lived life as a Spaniard.
It wasn’t bad, but smugglars of cigarettes got machine-gunned offshore. The “Guardia-Civil” national police were prominant, and every mountain had an armed soldier atop it—in sight of one another.
Prisoners could sell their homemade wares, but food—above bread and water—had to be brought in by family.
Cool and controlled at the same time.
