@AndrewKolvet on X: Concerned parents just sent us this image of what’s believed to be teachers in @vailschools.
in Tuscon, Arizona mocking Charlie’s murder with costumes that read “Problem Solved” and blood down the left side of their shirts.
Teachers at Cienega High School in Arizona’s Vail School District have sparked national outrage after dressing up in Halloween costumes that appeared to mock the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk.
Photos circulating online show several teachers wearing white shirts splattered with red stains over the left side—the same area where Kirk was fatally shot in September—along with the phrase “Problem Solved” printed across the front.
Vail School District Superintendent John Carruth said the t-shirts were purchased and worn last year, too.
“These shirts were worn both this and last year as part of math-themed Halloween costumes and were not intended as a reference to any person, event, or political issue,” Carruth said in a statement to Tucson.com. “Any reference that these shirts were related to something other than that are simply false and untrue.”
The image, confirmed authentic by the district’s spokesperson, John Carruth, was deleted shortly after surfacing online.
But the damage was done. Within hours, the post had gone viral, receiving over 146,000 engagements on X, as thousands of Americans—including students, parents, and conservative commentators—expressed shock and disgust.
Carruth attempted to downplay the incident, claiming the shirts referred to “solving math problems,” not to Kirk’s murder.
That excuse insulted people’s intelligence. The symbolism was obvious and deliberate.
Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated by a sniper earlier this year in a politically motivated killing that rocked the conservative movement.
His death united Republicans across the country and exposed the dangers of escalating political hatred on the left.
For teachers—trusted educators responsible for shaping young minds—to joke about that tragedy is beyond appalling.
It sends a message to students that mocking political violence is acceptable as long as the victim is a conservative.
The silence from the school district is equally alarming. As of now, no disciplinary action has been announced.
Parents in Vail are demanding accountability, arguing that educators who celebrate or mock the death of a political figure have no place in the classroom.
This is just one example of a moral collapse of America’s public education system, where ideological extremism has replaced professional ethics.
If the situation were reversed—if conservative teachers had mocked the death of a liberal activist—the district would have issued immediate suspensions, if not firings.
The double standard is glaring. The left preaches tolerance but celebrates cruelty when it targets those who disagree.
Charlie Kirk dedicated his life to empowering young conservatives and defending free speech on campuses nationwide.
For his memory to be treated as a joke by public school employees is disgusting.
This is just one example of why America needs stronger school choice.
Parents deserve the right to decide where and how their children are educated, not be forced into institutions that promote political agendas instead of academic excellence.
Many public schools today prioritize ideology over learning, leaving students unprepared and divided.
School choice empowers families to seek environments that reflect their values and focus on real education—math, science, history, and civics—rather than indoctrination.
When funding follows the student, not the system, schools are held accountable, competition increases, and every child has the opportunity to thrive.

“So you’re saying that, in a school district with 800 teachers, there is “not a chance” that there are a measly EIGHT psycho libs among them?!”
I’m saying my pastor knows Superintendent John Carruth and that the man has welcomed Christian (not just random “church”, but churches who believe) to be involved in the schools. My pastor has met with, discussed issues with and trusts the superintendent.
You have not.
I had a child go thru the schools there. And my granddaughter currently goes the school. Have you ever MET any of the teachers there? I have.
Y’all have no involvement other than click bait from the Homo Pundit, a site that very often blows smoke up people’s butts.
One of us has some basis for his thoughts. Y’all have none. But too many on the conservative side act like the Right Wing counterparts of a liberal Twitter mob. It is embarrassing.
I can believe that they were worn last year. But NOT with blood stain graphics on one side. NO flippin’ way.
How do you explain the lying freaks, then?
Our County Supt. of Schools is an active member of our very conservative church, and has been for about 20 years. And it’s a pretty small district in East TN. He’s forever trying to tamp down the lib nonsense teachers introduce to the kids. It’s almost a losing battle.
Democrats are not real big on free speech.
I would say their choice was pretty stupid in today’s political climate. Especially in a conservative area.
“How do you explain the lying freaks, then?”
How about admitting the truth: The picture was a Halloween thing that has been done before and had nothing to do with Charlie Kirk?
“Educators” as a whole are losers...overpaid and LIB nitwits.
Jesus’ death was also mocked, and Charlie is now in good company.
There is an image that is easily googled of “Charlie Kirk at a Trump-Vance Rally with outstretched arms. That goofball in the bloody T at the top of the thread is mimicking it.
Bloody Shirt: Happenstance
“Problem Solved”: Coincidence
Mimicking Charlie’s stance: Enemy Action
I’d sure like to see the shirts those teachers wore last year.
Maybe I just believe what I want to believe. But I can’t unsee what I’ve seen. No sale.
How insane do you have to be to think that is funny?
If, as they claim, they are the same tee shirts they wore last year then they should prove it........
Looks like they would have plenty of pictures.
Especially in the yearbook...................
It was this year’s Halloween costume.
Looks like their defense is, "beginning last year we started using these to indicate our wish that Donald Trump is assassinated."
A google search for “Problem Solved T-shirt 2024” pulls up shirts with the same font and bloody on the left side. You can have different sayings on the shirt.
Thing is…
• If you can buy them with a splatter, wouldn’t they all have the same splatter pattern? All the shirts in the photo have the same phrase in the same font at the same size, but different splatter patterns.
• Maybe they were bought blank…but why apply the splatter in the same place on each shirt?
• Why would they wear the same costume two years in a row? Most people want to wear something different each year. Why would a group want to repeat themselves?
• If the phrase is meant to relate to solving math problems, then how?
Maybe it was all innocent fun. I don’t see how the second time around, though. And the guy with the outstretched arms gives himself away, in my opinion.
Got it. Let's seem them wear blackface because that was also done in the past.
An appropriate response to this article would be to make a donation.
Hey Vail is its own town, don’t blame Tucson for that. I mean we do have a Vail Jr High that’s nowhere near Vail the town... it’s complicated. But Vail still not Tucson.
