Once I was safely across the intersection, I continued to pursue the motorcycle. The motorcycle approached a white Ford 150 traveling north on State Route 23 and attempted to pass it. The driver's helmet struck the driver's mirror on the Ford F-150 and he lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle traveled off the left shoulder of State Route 23 and struck the ditch drain. After impact with the drain, the motorcycle vaulted into the air, struck a tree, and the driver was thrown off the motorcycle. The driver was thrown across Burton Street and into a barrier in the parking lot of the post office. The driver struck the barrier, and was decapitated. When I pulled in the entrance of the post office, I observed the driver's head and motorcycle to the left of the barrier and his body to the right of the barrier, near the front door of the post office.

It is usually the Mustang wrecking but this one had a professional driver, the cop.
I ran from the CHP on a CB750 the same day Evil Knievel jumped the Snake River.
We both ending in an Ambulance.
.
Adrenaline is a Funny thing.
Ha!
1. It's a six-pack from a 7-11, not a serious crime (????) AND
2. The person driving like a maniac to get away from the police will immediately drop speed and obey all traffic rules as soon as the chase is over, AND
3. The person driving like a maniac is not going to commit some other crime in between the technology ID'ing the bad guy and the eventual apprehension of the bad guy
It might make sense to stop chasing a bad guy. Maybe it's just somebody trying to get home before the commercial break ends.
How is it possible to be decapitated by hitting a barrier? Especially if he had slowed from prior impacts.
I lost 20# with THIS one simple trick.
A Human head is about 8 lbs.
Don’t ask me how I know.
no but you can proly stiff have an open casket
A Bell brand motorcycle helmet will usually save your life in a crash.
yes, well....
there have been a number of pretty bad wrecks from high speed car chases
chances are (no guarantees) that if they have description of vehicle they can find it later (or maybe use drones or helicopters to follow it, that’s been done before too)
again, I favor good police work. it is just a concern about these high speed chases....how many of them are genuinely necessary -— ?
i have not had time to watch this entire video but there are many other videos and news reports on the internet about this subject.. that are shorter, quicker...
anyway here is that longer video just to get any interested readers started...

I saw the video yesterday. The biker’s body was pixelated out, and the people in the Post Office were standing inside, looking dumbfounded.
How does a 150 become a GT?
Is this AI writing?
Oh poop. The cop was in the GT.
Never mind.
I was driving home from the bar one night and there were all these emergency vehicles. I looked over and saw a mangled vehicle that looked like it might be my buddy’s pick up. It was tough to tell because it was very bad. My heart kind of stopped and I pulled over to see what was happening.
There were cops and EMS all over the place. I talked to one cop that seemed to be in charge. He told me the driver was killed instantly. Still wondering if it was my buddy I asked him if they had identified the body. He said, no they hadn’t. I told him my buddy has a truck similar and he was probably driving on this road. He said if I was okay with it he could maybe have me identify the body if it was him.
I gathered up my courage and the cop told me again how bad it was. The guy was decapitated. Am I sure I’m okay doing this?
I hesitated but then I decided I had to do it.
The cop reached down under the covering and grabbed the decapitated skull by the hair and held it up just high enough so I could see it but not high enough for anyone else to notice.
He said, “Is this your buddy?”
I said, “Well, it kind of looks like him, but he was a lot taller.”
You gave a clue in the first sentence. I missed it - you got me!
makes identifacation of the body easier.
VERY WELL WRITTEN REPORT
SEEMS TO HAVE LEFT NOTHING OUT
GORILLA TAPE
GORILLA GLUE
BALING WIRE
VICE GRIPS
But you don’t want to be the guy given the job of pulling the head out of the helmet.
Hope he had good insurance. Those mirrors on the F150s can get expensive to replace.
