Well, that was fast.

Just three days after Democrats and the media made a huge deal about Jimmy Kimmel’s big comeback, his ratings have utterly evaporated. Since the beginning of this week when he returned to the air, his ratings have dropped by 70 percent.

It looks like his much-hyped return was little more than hype. A sugar-high lasts longer than this.

It was enough that the two corporations holding out and not airing him caved and added him back to the schedule.

Fair enough! I guess the last late night entertainer was Carson.

“Its going to fall even more.”

more interesting would be to know the situation with the advertisers: which ones remain and how much have they demanded that their rates drop ...

Kimmel will be off the air in less than one year. ABC will cancel his show because he continues to lose big money. What will the newly minted “First Amendment Advocates” say then?

The headline is kinda fake news.

While Wednesday’s average of 2.4 million is well ahead of Kimmel’s norm (1.7 million), it marked a near 70% drop from Tuesday’s record 6.3 million.

Chirping about the 70% drop from an all-time/event-driven high is akin to comparing Monday night ratings to the previous night when the Super Bowl was broadcast.

2.4MM is better than 1.7MM. Is that lift sustainable? Time will tell.

This is why Gateway Pundit is one of the conservative media’s toilets.

If there is a train wreck, you will get a lot of gawkers at the scene for a day or two.

But it doesn’t take long to figure out there’s nothing to see.

What is always lost in any conversation about late night ratings, is how Jimmy Fallon has totally destroyed the Tonight Show brand. His ratings are really in the gutter and if you think about where they were with Johnny Carson and then Jay Leno, it’s a wonder that the Tonight Show is still on the air.

He sucked before, he sucks now.
Have long “wondered” how these networks kept shows like his and others that were bleeding money, shitty rating’s afloat and my mind keeps going back to USAID and the money laundering/funding machine it was

The late night scene was different when Johnny and Jay were on. Johnny really didn’t have competition until maybe the very end. No internet. Cable televison was around, but not like today. Jay started to have the internet. No streaming services.

is enough to make you reevaluate your support of certain things.

I have lunch friends who don't support "certain things", but they'll still vote Democrat every time.

Apparently his “triumphant return” produced huge ratings. Curiosity I would guess to see him apologize. The ratings were only out of curiosity. Like going to a freak show just once

I actually considered watching his show that one time but could not. I did not want to contribute to his ratings.

What a disaster. And advertisers really think those numbers are worth whatever they are paying? The networks should be paying the advertisers!
