Germany Is Preparing for the Worst: A Bloody NATO-Russia War
National Security Journal ^ | 9/25/2025 | Reuben Johnson

Germany is war-gaming a mass-casualty scenario—up to 1,000 wounded soldiers per day—amid Russian airspace violations and warnings of possible conflict by 2029. Surgeon General Ralf Hoffmann says Ukraine’s drone-saturated battlefield is reshaping injuries toward blasts and burns, complicating evacuation and forcing longer stabilization times.

Exaggerated headline. The Germans aren't "preparing" but merely planning. If they were "preparing" they'd be clearing hospitals of elective surgeries, stocking them with supplies, and moving medical personnel around where casualties would be directed.

Our military undoubtedly also has such plans and most metropolitan areas already have contingency plans for mass casualty events.

Why does neutrality sound better and better. How long until we are begging for better rates from a World Govt like Greece had to do? Defend our country, cut off benefits for bums and newcomers, and let the world do what it is already doing.

Selling weapons on “time” to NATO allies, to then give them to Ukraine still counts as US support.

US out of the UN, US out of NATO. We would be better off building a strong country, drag Canada kicking and screaming to sanity, and force Mexico to become a first world nation, with leaders who are not grifting from US and on the take with Narco-terrorists.

If Turkish men fight for Germany, who is to say they don’t hand over the land gains to the nation of their birth?

Why do we keep waking up from the same nightmare, to realize it is not a dream?

We aren't sending money to Ukraine any longer, although I think we made a small contribution to a reconstruction fund that won't be tapped until the war ends.

The notion that the war would end if we and Europe cut off military supplies is just silly: Russia would win, but the Ukrainians would rip the veins from their necks with their teeth if they had to and the Russians would execute tens of thousands of people and rape their way to the Polish border.

Hundreds of thousands and probably millions would flee to Europe. Which is one reason why the Europeans continue to buy weaponry for Ukraine.

The probable result of total US disengagement would be Europe allying with China to get relief from Russia, leaving all of Eurasia in one huge anti-American bloc.

Russia nukes the US, it will be population centers. All run by Democrats. They would actually be doing us a favor. The US should sell two Ohio class subs to Taiwan and not say whether or not the nukes were included in the deal.

That has to be the most reckless thing I’ve read in a while.

Wishing that to happen is insane.

“ Wishing that to happen is insane.”

Yes. Wishing that to happen would be insane. Which is why I didn’t wish it to happen.

Get the US out of NATO now. Let Europe take care of the shit in their own backyard. This isn’t our battle, never was. No more US involvement in proxy wars with Russia, China, or any other country. If Europe wants to buy weapons from this country, cash payments will be accepted, but Europe as a whole, is not financially, nor militarily equipped to fight a never-ending war with Russia over Ukraine.

I’m no Russia hand but Russia seems fairly militarily weak which may make them very dangerous to screw around with.

It would only mean WW III if we participated, which isn't happening with Trump in office.

The Germans and all of EU NATO would get destroyed by the Russians.

Germany and the EU's goal with all this nonsense is trying to figure out a way to trigger Article 5 and get us involved in a war with Russia. There is way any of these EU countries would take on Russia on their own or collectively.

All Russia needs to do is wait until 5 pm. That’s when German troops start drawing overtime. I remember being in Europe supporting a NATO exercise and the Germans quit at the end of the day so they wouldn’t have to pay OT to the troops. We got paid the same whether we worked one hour a day or 16 hours. In fact, we considered a 12 hour day to be a short day.

Was it overtime pay or compensatory time off?

They already hate us. All of them.

Yes and no: the elites look down their noses at us, the ordinary people much less so.

But even that is far different than actually forming a bloc whose security arrangements are all directed against the US.
