I don’t follow Owens so I can say with complete confidence that she is being maligned. Critics should provide direct quotes. I tried to find them but failed. Apparently she did say, “The Nazis experimented on innocent people.” She added, “Some of the stories, by the way, sound completely absurd.” She concluded, “That just sounds like bizarre propaganda.” There are many “well-documented atrocities.” Morris Hubert a Buchenwald survivor claims “In the camp there was a cage with a bear and an eagle. Every day, they would throw a Jew in there. The bear would tear him apart and the eagle would pick at his bones.” There are so many false memoirs and documents obtained through torture that there is reasonable doubt about everything claimed. The Nazis did commit serious crimes. People who fabricate or embellish them are not doing Israel any favors. Owens’ comments endanger Jews. Does this article not endanger Owens’ life?
