The 22-year-old suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing appears to have confessed to friends in an online chat shortly before turning himself in to law enforcement, according to two people familiar with the chat and screenshots obtained by The Washington Post.
“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all,” said a message from an account belonging to the suspect, Tyler Robinson, on the online platform Discord. “It was me at UVU yesterday. im sorry for all of this.”
The message was sent Thursday night, about two hours before officials said Robinson was taken into custody.
A member of the group chat shared an image of the conversation with The Post and confirmed that it came from Robinson’s account. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect their privacy and out of fear of harassment.
Discord provided a copy of the message with the confession to authorities, according to a person familiar with the company’s interaction with law enforcement. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss details of the investigation.
The message was sent from Robinson’s account to a small private group of online friends, the person said. Discord is working closely with the FBI and local authorities, providing information about Robinson’s online activities on the platform, the person added.
Discord has said that an internal investigation found “no evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord.”

Discord has some explaining to do. They said there was no discussion of the killing on their site.

That's not to say Boothe was sorry he did it, just that his genius and heroism (as he saw it) wasn't being recognized. And I guess this A-hole Robinson had the same realization - he expected to be the big hero and instead he saw that other than the crazies everyone was disgusted at him AND at his fellow traveler crazies.

It’s so sick at how seemingly easy it was to commit the assassination. Conservatives are so trusting of the left, or maybe a bit naïve in thinking that left wingers would never perpetuate such evil.
Everyone is a target now. And we know for sure that yes, the left is indeed very evil and capable of the worst atrocities (and will celebrate afterwards). For this reason alone, there absolutely must be sever punishment inflicted on THEM, for once.

I can picture his 20 furries on the Discord platform making a mad dash at the same time for a phone to claim the 100 grand stoolie award as soon as he said “I did it”. Online friendships have a way of giving way to 100 grand awards.
