Crowder posts this and it is spreading across the blogosphere. It is not sourced. It is not verified. It is quite the red meat sandwich.

Be careful with stuff like this. Just because you see it in multiple places doesn’t necessarily mean that it is true. It all comes from a primary location...and spreads like a fungus.

Give the story time. The right people want this solved and it will be.

It says the rifle is an imported Mauser chambered in 30-06. The imported Mausers were not chambered in 30-06. That’s an American round so it would have to be a modified Mauser.

Ive got friends who make their own ammunition, but how common is it for someone to have the skill and equipment to “engrave rounds?”
