If you’re wondering why the Democrats tried so hard to stop Trump from returning to the Oval Office, the past few weeks have made it very clear. The Russia collusion hoax has finally been exposed as the sham it always was—a massive intelligence scandal designed to undermine Donald Trump and to protect Hillary Clinton—all with the consent and coordination of the FBI and high-ranking officials in the Obama administration, including Obama himself.
Journalist Matt Taibbi, who was once a contributing editor at Rolling Stone, has put all the recently uncovered pieces of the puzzle together in a damning post on Racket News.
“Now, we know,” he writes. “With the help of the declassified Durham material, we can explain the whole affair in three brushstrokes.”
According to Taibbi, it began with a political calculation: “Hillary Clinton and her team apparently hoped to deflect from her email scandal and other problems via a campaign tying Trump to Putin.” That much has been long suspected. But what came next is where the real scandal begins.
“American security services learned of these plans,” Taibbi explains. And instead of exposing the scheme for what it was—a dirty campaign trick—“authorities used state resources to massively expand and amplify her scheme.”
In other words, they didn’t stop it. They ran with it. And they had help.

There need to be massive layoffs at the CIA and other intel agencies. This outfit has been not only worthless for years but it has been actively injurious to the US not only bc of its involvement in US politics but also its rank stupidity in providing foreign assessments: Bush - so are there WMDs in Iraq? Then CIA Director: “You can take it to the bank, Mr. President”. Look at the devastation this stupidity caused.

The Democrats in partnership with their doting servants in the “press” blew up Watergate with crazed headlines every day. Nixon never made up a monstrous lie about his opposition, to be spread by the intel and police agencies and they were helped by a thoroughly corrupt judge named John Sirica. I remember Sirica traveling with Jimmy Carter in the 1980 campaign and trashing Reagan as though anyone outside Georgetown and Manhattan gave a damn what he said. Sirica really sealed the deal for Carter in 1980, didn’t he?
“Like they said of Watergate, it’s not the crime that will get you, it’s the coverup.”
This was really much more than a cover up. Hiding the Clinton email and other scandals would have been the first cover up.
But it morphed into a full time intelligence and media operation against the President of the United States involving wiretapping, impeachments, special counsels, repeated lies, falsification of documents, perversion of the FISA court process, likely knowing participation by Judge Boasberg (he signed FISA warrants) etc etc that created a full time constitutional crisis.
Then they covered that operation up by trying to bankrupt Trump, jail Trump, impeach Trump again, and maybe tried to kill him, all to prevent him from getting into office again and finding these documents. (And, I have always suspected the Mar-a-Lago raids were to find out what Russia Hoax documents he had kept and cleanse them.)
So yes. That whole operation evolved out of a cover up. But the operation was a massive crime in and of itself.
This was so much worse than Watergate. A stupid burglary that got covered up.
