THERE IS NO FOOD ON EARTH THAT IS NOT IMPROVED BY THE ADDITION OF BACON! Actually you are wrong good sir and that food that is not improved is BACON! There is no reason to add perfection to perfection. I love any kind of smoked pork that is made.
Oddly the Halal rules of food for the Jews and Arabs make total sense when they were started. You eat pork not fully cooked and you get sick from Trichinosis. Very sick for years as the worms infest your muscle tissue and you are dinner for them. A very ugly disease.
Our domestic pigs are treated for such and safe. One must assume any wild pig is infected and cook it to a proper temperature. Most are not infected but one must assume this.

I don’t see why the Bacon as a Spice should be controversial.
Well, it was a Muslim pod-caster, so the audience would not react the same way as a typical freeper. If I were being interviewed by a Lubavitcher Jew, I wouldn't suggest bacon as a spice, either. It comes off as disrespectful.
