As a kid in the 50s, I loved Superman on TV. Superman, played by George Reeves, faced actual bad guys and (although corny by today's standards of special effects) was surrounded by reasonably talented performers. Truth, justice and the American way.
I would stand in a long line to NOT see the James Gunn film.
