MSNBC'S Mohyeldin Suggests Netanyahu 'Dog-Walked' Trump Into Attacking Iran
NewsBusters ^

Posted on 06/22/2025 7:30:21 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Speaking with Rachel Maddow on Saturday night, MSNBC's Ayman Mohyeldin repeatedly suggested that Benjamin Netanyahu "dog-walked" President Trump into attacking Iran.

Mohyeldin's dehumanizing claim was that Trump might have been unaware of Israel's intent to attack Iran, and that Netanyahu knew:

"That at some point the political pressure domestically among Republicans, supporters of Israel and their base [the Joos!], are going to put this pressure on the president to get involved on behalf of Israel.

Mohyeldin also suggested that Netanyahu was "running circles" around Trump. Shades of Ilhan Omar accusing Israel of "hypnotizing" the world. Those sly Jews, with their infernal ability to outwit others!

It’s secular power seeking, not a religious issue. Israel is very secular in many ways.

After that whole thing with Elon Musk I think it’s pretty clear no one can ‘dog walk’ Trump into anything.

Also, it wasn’t that long ago the left was claiming Trump was antisemitic.

Now he’s a puppet of Netanyahu? Sure/sarc

Just for an example of that nonsense:

Liberals are saying anything to make themselves feel better. They know Obama and Biden were disasters.

Also, you haven’t addressed the practicing American Jews I know that have the same opinion I do regarding Israel and its influence on our military. You try to keep implying I am somehow against Jews, which is such a lazy ploy, like screaming “racism” at the right about every issue.

So those Jewish people I know are just “self-hating” to you I would imagine. Which actually borders on antisemitism to me.

So while we’re on your subject of Israel’s “control over our military and Deep State”, in what ways did Israel “control” the Biden Administration’s policy of supporting Ukraine’s Jewish leader Zelenskyy?

Seriously, I have enjoyed our conversation. We’ve done a decent job of only getting a little insulting to each other. LOL. Have a great afternoon.

I’m regularly on record noting the deep affliction of Leftism among Jews in America, to the point they don’t believe in G-d, Western Civilization, Israel, freedom, self preservation, etc.

That’s a bunch of cultural JINOs in my opinion, who cloak their full anti-Western sentiment in the protective clothe of ancestral Judaism. There are lots of them. They go to Synagogue for the latkes. My niece declared from the Bima at her Bat Mitzva the non-existence of G-d to the polite applause of the Reformed congregation.

You’ve skated right up to the line by saying that Israel controls American military policy, which is arguable, me clearly on the other side of that argument. I vehemently disagree with you on that. But it rather seems that is the extent of your generalized indictment of Jews. So you’re not on Team Mullah. Good to know.

Granting your good nature, I’d like the opportunity to convince you of a distinction with a difference.

By way of the Socratic Method, can you give me examples of ways in which Israel specially controls American Military or Diplomatic decisions in ways that are only self serving and against obvious American interests and positions held by our democratically elected leadership?

My points being that Israel:

1) is like all other nations in attempting to influence American policy
2) is merely more successful than most
3) because our interests are largely aligned
4) doesn’t always get their way
5) has a deeply invested American affiliated population, like England (“special relationship”), Anzac etc. (common linguistic and English heritage), and Japan, Korea and Taiwan (a common enemy in China), etc. Sometimes, Catholics influence policy too, for example

I see the same things you see in history, I just ascribe them to a confluence of interests and comparative success in doing what every country is obligated to do for their people. No nefariousness needed.

Those are mainly valid points. It’s #3 I mainly disagree with. We are broke with a bigger debt per capita than Israel. We need to concentrate on issues here inside our borders, not print more money for continual military endeavors, so politicians and their buddies can get rich. I don’t think people realize how dire our debt is becoming.

#4, is hard to know for sure because they play a long game. I would say they don’t always get their way immediately perhaps.

We generally agree then.

There is a loud and small contingent here who are so reflexively anti-Jewish that I try hard to help distinguish between legitimate disagreements with Israeli / American policy and generalized Jew Hate. Everyone will find this or that policy to disagree with; I do.

Just aiming for intellectual hygiene. Thanks. Sorry for the long interrogatory.

Also, I do believe self interest of Israel doesn’t automatically equate to nefarious intentions of Israel. They are incredibly small and have come up with a way to leverage our size to aid them. They also played an early role in preventing communists from getting much of the oil in that region.

"Mohyeldin is the guy who described the sniper work of Navy Seal Chris Kyle as 'killing sprees.'"

Was he the one who recommended that Obama label the massacre at Fort Hood as "workplace violence"? Wouldn't surprise me.

Ha ha ha. Yeah, Obama loved those Jews didn't he?

"How far is the US willing to go to do Israel’s bidding? It’s a tightrope."

Taking out Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities was a benefit to the whole world. Not just to Israel. Have any middle-eastern countries come out yet to condem Trump for his actions?

This is a perfect opportunity to exercise intuition and experience. An IQ test of sorts.

Try to match the Trump you’ve observed over the years with the image of Trump being coerced by Netanyahu or anyone else.
