It was a political stunt, but more than that. He's a lead agitator who's trying to rile up his fellow travelers to more violence. Just look at all the commies who've come out in the last few minutes in righteous indignation. It's a new rallying cry for them.
Perhaps if leftists, including “elected” officials weren’t always so loud, crude, rude and profane at public gatherings these types of episodes wouldn’t occur so frequently.

Maybe you heard it too, but in the Q&A part of Security Noem's press conference...in a back in forth with some leftist reporter who kept trying to say non-violent "migrants" were being rounded up as well...Noem finally asked...(paraphrasing)...
"so which laws should we enforce and which laws should we ignore?"
The room was silent until Noem finally spoke up again saying this is about law enforcement. Enforcing the laws of this country.
It was perfect. Totally shut the leftist reporter down.
Unfortunately, much of this battle is PR. That question should be asked again and again until these leftist reporters and politicians are forced to answer which laws they want law enforcement to ignore and why.

I’ve watched several videos from 2 or 3 angles. You can tell this was staged to push the narrative that the Trump admin is authoritarian and violent.
Padilla’s staffer, instead of getting involved and saying “Hey, this is a Senator” or trying to resolve the issue, instead just made sure to film the entire incident. Selected excerpts were then immediately released to friendly media.
Also, within just a few minutes of his being removed, all major Democrats were tweeting the same messaging of “outrage”.

I think they usually have a Q&A session at press conferences, don’t they? If this guy wanted to ask questions he should have waited for that and then asked his questions. But it seems like this was just a publicity stunt. He wants the rioters to love him but doesn’t want to risk arrest.
I was thinking it’s actually kinda poetic, that the TDS gets these people to come out with all their tactics, and Trump is one by one getting leftist judges to try all their BS only to be soundly knocked down by appeals courts and/or SCOTUS. It’s infuriating and slow, but Trump is taking down the tactics of the left simply by forcing them to make their idiotic claims in a judicial setting.
Stuff life, “I’m a judge. I can do whatever I want in my courthouse.” Or “Once you start a federal program you can never stop it.” Or “Federal workers are entitled to keep their job for life.” Or “The Commander in Chief is not in charge of the Marines; judges are” Etc.
Once that BS is slapped down for the garbage that it is, what are the dems and their media gonna try next? lol
