As many of you here may know, I asked for prayer for mother in recent months due to her battle with dementia. This morning, around 5:30 AM, I received the news that she passed away. She is now in heaven with my father. Her battle with dementia lasted for many years but she was a trooper and was brave to the end.
I got to see her yesterday, one last time here on earth, and told her that her job here was done and that it was "time to let go and go see Jesus and dad," that us kids will be ok.
I wanted to thank everyone here who prayed on her behalf. I'm sure it was through your prayers, as well as those of family and friends, that she held on and did as well as she did.
God bless you all.
Bless you. And I will pray for you. It’s hard. In her last two years I asked my mom to come and live with my wife and I. She had bad emphysema and was bed ridden for the last 8 months. It was a difficult time. My wife was a saint during that period. She cared for my mom better than any nursing home ever could have. I kept waiting at work for “the call.” As tough as it was, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It taught me true love like nothing else. That’s how God works in our lives.
Prayers for your family.
The battle is over, and your mom is in Heaven praising The Lord God along with countless others, enjoying the unimaginably beautiful things that He has there for all who have believed on His Son Jesus. What a wonderful sigh of relief, knowing she is no longer suffering, and she has gone Home.
The grief is there I know, and it’s so very hard. The Lord will be with you every step of the way until He Returns to bring you home too.
My mom and dad went on to be with their Precious Savior and Lord within hours of each other on September 29 and 30, 2021, both of them suffering from multiple illnesses over many years. Such relief in knowing they are ALIVE, just no longer suffering in their earthly bodies, and their spirits always beholding their Father in Heaven. Grief came, in waves, but not as there is no hope.
Love in Jesus, beloved. My heart goes out to you, and we are both awaiting His Return for us.
Not me, ducttape45. Both my folks have a nice place in the house of the Lord for some time now. 👍
Way to go, good on ya. My Mom and Dad went the same way.
I offer my sincere condolences. How lovely that you got up tell her that “…her job here was done and that it was ‘time to let go and go see Jesus and dad,’ that us kids will be ok.”
I will send up a prayer for you and your family. May your dear mother be resting in the arms of our Lord.
God grant her a blessed rest, and peace, comfort and strength to you.
May God’s Grace comfort you and yours. It’s always too soon.
Sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace and may our good Lord send you his consolation. Amen.
God bless you and yours, and may He grant you peace and healing as you grieve.
A most beautiful way to phrase/view it.
RIP
Again, thank you and God bless you all.
We are stardust
We are golden
Blessings upon your family at this time.
