The anchor appeared to respond, ‘I don’t think he can serve four more years,'” when asked about Biden from a passerby on the street a few days after the interview.
They all knew. They. All. Knew.
We knew they all knew, too. It’s infuriating.
In his new book Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History, Chris Whipple claims that ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos described former President Joe Biden as “heartbreaking up close” after an interview in July.
The interview happened one week after Biden debated then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Biden dropped out of the race on July 21. He immediately endorsed his VP Kamala Harris.
More from The Washington Examiner:
The book’s author, Chris Whipple, described Biden’s appearance as “hoarse and semi-coherent” during the interview, in which Stephanopoulos asked his questions “gently, like a grandson.”
“Afterward, when I asked the ABC anchor by email for his impressions, he replied: ‘Heartbreaking up close,’” Whipple wrote.

I do believe that was the plan. And it he died after the first two years then Kamala could serve two more whole terms as well as the rest of his term.
Then it became evident that she was a total nitwit herself. The plan was to get rid of her the second term and hope he dies then, so the new vice president can take over.
Instead he was forced out and being the vindictive bastard he is, he endorsed Harris, knowing full well, nobody really wanted her, but being a black woman, they were stuck with her.
Democrats are still patting each other on the back for it and say wait for the next round.
We gave every rock a name and address for the donor and voter list.
Yeah, he was obviously a vegetable in 2020.
We’re supposed to believe he got 10+ million more votes than The One, The Magic Negro, the Bamster.
FJB even admitted, in a rare coherent moment in late Oct 2020, that democrats had perfected the greatest electoral fraud machine in American history.
I don’t understand how all these corrupt Federal judges think they have ANY jurisdiction in the White House press room ?!!
Agreed—that baffles me as well.
The mass media seems to have appointed themselves as royalty.
I know I never agreed to that.

Dementia Joe was too addlebrained to hold press conferences or answer questions, and probably struggled to get out bed most days, and none of these presstitutes or judges cared. Now they all somehow have an inalienable right to grill Trump, who routinely gives long press conferences and discusses policy matters at length.
“Biden dropped out of the race on July 21. He immediately endorsed his VP Kamala Harris.”
The one document they made sure had a wet signature instead of the auto-pen.
Her appearance on Fox had Harris duping the voters, swearing Biden was sharp as a tack even as her candidacy was made possible by Biden’s muttering nonsense at the debate. Harris fumbled through her conversation with Brett Baier before slinking away on complaints that he had been “too aggressive” in his questioning.
She never “got” the interview was a disaster. Though there were many head-scratchers and uncomfortable fumbles in the Baier interview, the critical moment came when Harris rope-a-doped herself with the claim that ——not Biden, mind you———but former Donald Trump was “unfit” and too “unstable” to be president.
This Harris misfire led to obvious follow-up questions regarding her own earlier efforts to dismiss concerns about Biden’s mental and physical fitness. “You told many interviewers that Joe Biden was on his game,” Baier said, “that he ran circles around his staff. When did you first notice that President Biden’s mental faculties appeared diminished?”
Harris blanked.
Then, after a moment to recollect herself, she simply dodged the question.....word salading her way into a shatteringly nonsensical reply: “Joe Biden — I have watched from the Oval Office to the Situation Room, and he has the judgment and the experience to do exactly what he has done in making very important decisions on behalf of the American people.”
Baier pressed on, “There were no concerns raised?”
“Bret, Joe Biden is not on the ballot,” said Harris, “and Donald Trump is.”
Yes, but why isn’t Biden on the ballot? This is the question?
Harris was one of the very first reassure voters that all was well with the president. “The Joe Biden that I worked with every day is someone who, as I have said, has performed in a way that has been about bringing people into the Oval Office, Republicans and Democrats, to compromise in a way that is extraordinary these days,” she promised CNN viewers.
In February, she actually said of Biden, “We have a very bold and vibrant president in Joe Biden.” She also said that same month: “Our president is in good shape, in good health, and is ready to lead in our second term. she alleged, “Age is more than a chronological fact….Not only is [Biden] absolutely authoritative in rooms around the globe, but in the Oval Office.”
When special counsel Robert Hur described Biden as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” Harris rushed to defend Biden’s honor, all but accusing Hur of lying inviting a response regarding her own attempt to push an unfit presidential candidate on the nation.
