Does this mean the SC is getting contempt order?
Now arrest and deport Boasberg ,LOL
Glad this was done as he shouldn’t have ANY Jurisdiction over any executive decision. Let it work through the courts normally like Biden’s loan relief scam did.
Awesome get rid of all the garbage
RE: Supreme Court Vacates Judge Boasberg’s Orders
How did the justices decide individually? The article does not say.
fire up the engines
ready for takeoff
AMF!
About d%#* time.
The Supreme’s might be worried about having their power limited by Congress. Where is the statutory power for district judges to make nationwide injunctions? There is none.
Now we need Congress to write a rule specifying Judgeships can only be filled with native-born American citizens.
Then throw Boasberger’s ass out of our judicial system. The more I read about this guy, the worse it is. Our judicial system has no place for evil partisan people masquerading as judges whose sole mission in life is to “Get Trump.”
Is this a re-telling of an earlier Supreme Court decision of today, where Chief Justice Roberts decided to indefinitely postpone a judges hold on Trump having to return a “wrongly sent” man back from an El Salvador prison? Same thing or a different judge?
I’m not finding the breakdown in the article. 6-3? 5-4? Just curious.
Smack down!
Sadly, we’re all cheering in relief over this when in reality it is utterly absurd this judge even dared reach with such blatantly partisan hubris.
It wasn’t vacated. It was paused.
Can't find where it was vacated.
Big Big Win!
Here is the link to the Opinion of SCOTUS:

“For all the rhetoric of the dissents, today’s order and per curiam confirm that the detainees subject to removal orders under the AEA are entitled to notice and an opportunity to challenge their removal. The only question is which court will resolve that challenge. For the reasons set forth, we hold that venue lies in the district of confinement. The dissents would have the Court delay resolving that issue, requiring—given our decision today—that the process begin anew down the road. We see no benefit in such wasteful delay.
The application to vacate the orders of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia presented to THE CHIEF JUSTICE and by him referred to the Court is granted.
The March 15, 2025 minute orders granting a temporary restraining order and March 28, 2025 extension of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, case No. 1:25-cv-766, are vacated.”
Also, Kavanaugh:
“Importantly, as the Court stresses, the Court’s disagreement with the dissenters is not over whether the detainees receive judicial review of their transfers—all nine Members of the Court agree that judicial review is available. The only question is where that judicial review should occur. That venue question turns on whether these transfer claims belong in habeas corpus proceedings or instead may be brought under
the Administrative Procedure Act. I agree with the Court’s analysis that the claims must be brought in habeas.”
It will just take time to convince the government of El Salvador to let the dude out of their maximum security prison. Then he can go to the US embassy and get a plane ticket and expenses to return to the US.
Boasberg and the circuit court of appeals denied the DOJ's request for time to negotiate the dude's release. Roberts only gave DOJ the time. His ruling translates from legalese as "Don't Be Silly Here."
Doesn’t seem like such a huge win if the Supremes claim there has to be due process for expelling invaders under the AEA.
Not only does that seem fundamentally wrong, but it also seems to go beyond the narrow ruling that they’re always preening about.
Ok that’s great, but there should be punishment for a judge operating outside his jurisdiction! You don’t get out of a speeding ticket because you claim ignorance of the law!
