The American media is doing its best to ignore the biggest news this week.
Nope, not Covid’s fifth anniversary. You may have noticed that every legacy media outlet is reminding you it’s been exactly five years since the Little Epidemic That Could started its long chug into your lungs, or at least your upper respiratory tract.
In reality, they’re as wrong about the date as everything else Covid. People started getting sick in Wuhan in December 2019. Or was it November? Maybe even October? Whatever, the Chinese have made sure we’ll never know.
But it was March 11, 2020 when the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic - and the National Basketball Association postponed its season. You know it’s serious when the sportathons get turned off. The Dow Jones Industrial Average went down 1,200 points that day too.
Worst of all, Tom Hanks said he and his wife Rita Wilson had tested positive for Covid. Everyone’s favoritish movie star made the announcement on Instagram. His words turned out to be oddly prophetic in their matter-of-fact description of the great nonplague to follow: We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too.
Slight fevers, you say? Better shut the world!
Anyway, here in ‘Merica, which as we all know is the only place that counted, March 11 is Covid Day (TM)! And it’s being celebrated, I mean commemorated, with articles like, “They Lost Someone to Covid. Here’s What They Learned About Grief.”
Because no one ever died before Covid. We were all immortal before March 11, 2020. How I miss those days.
But I digress.
On Wednesday morning, as American outlets festooned themselves in Covid retrospectives, two big German newspapers - Zeit and Süddeutsche Zeitung1 -broke some actual news.
Turns out in early 2020, Angela Merkel, Germany’s chancellor, took a break from her busy schedule of welcoming knife-wielding Afghan refugees to ask Germany’s intelligence agency, the BND2, to figure out Covid’s origins.

It seems highly likely it was engineered in a lab. The story that it came from a wet market is a bat shite crazy excuse unless the workers from the Wuhan lab brought it there (accidentally or intentionally).
And it is NOT the 5 year anniversary. It is just the 5 year anniversary from the day Democrats acknowledged it was serious. We all knew Wuhan had an outbreak by November of 2019, and that nursing homes in the Pacific Northwest were seeing “fit like” symptoms that caused a high mortality rate among the aged frail. Trump stopped all travel from Asia at the end of January 2020. Democrats called him a racist and went on TV telling people to go out and eat in Chinatown. Chinese food is delicious (at least the Americanized dishes are) but there was certainly some irony with Dems saying it was racist. Sure if people thought you would only catch a virus from Chinese people they are silly or stupid. But my wife was visiting her brother in the stix and I told her to take the truck to the most rural Costco and to buy all the dried and canned foods she could get. But she waited a day and by the time she got there they were sold out. That was on Feb 2. So obviously many people knew weeks or months before the “anniversary” date.

Within 2 weeks of official declaration of a pandemic, there were detailed analysis made on alternate media (the first was on Zero Hedge, as I recall) showing the added spike proteins must have been bio-engineered, and linked it to published research from working being done at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Anyone paying attention knew it from the start.

So the question is “why did the Germans cover up the lab leak from Wuhan?”
No, it was not a lab leak. That is the fallback position when the wet market natural occurrence story failed. remember when they pushed THAT story they knew it was a lie.
Wuhan and Hong Kong were having protests that were growing, spreading and becoming more violent. The Tiennamen Square solution was a non-starter in the world of modern China. They were not vulnerable to pressure back in 89 due to almost no trade.
Add in that Trump was a runaway freight train headed for re-election.
So in collusion with Fauci and DC, China deliberately released it to stop Chinese protests and Trump’s reelection.
It was a bad flu, SARs to be exact. So they flooded the internet with videos of people dropping dead in the street, the hazmat suit people spraying disinfectant, etc.
Massive fear porn.
The disease had to merely be detectable, make you noticeably sick, and justify locking everyone indoors in China and utterly stopping the US economy.
When the “wet market” fraud failed, they couldn’t exactly say it was deliberate. So that is the new story... “lab leak”. Who could be mad at a lab leak? Just an accident you know....
I remember during the first year or maybe it was going into the second of covid my doctor, when I asked him about it, was pro-vaccine. At my annual physical on the third year he admitted that he had reservations about it.
“leak” makes it sound like it was an accident…fat chance of that.
