But that was only one moment in a litany of similar nauseating reactions, or lack thereof, during President Trump’s first address to Congress for his second term.
And that’s not counting Al Green’s sad acting out that resulted in his ejection. Mr. Green needs help but is unlikely to get it.
I had to shake myself to remember I was once a Democrat in what seems like the Paleolithic Age but was actually a tad less than twenty-five years ago., scarcely a minute in human time.
Nevertheless, the party I left, even though it was trending in the wrong direction, didn’t seem much like what I was watching now. What had happened? Why did they all behave like sullen children without an ounce of optimism for the future?
The simple explanation was “Trump bad.” But it was almost too obvious and only part of the story. Something more is involved even if “he doth bestride the narrow world like a colossus.”.

A rather wordy analysis of what everyone who hasn’t been in a coma knows... the democrats are evil and deranged. A coalition of losers and rejects, standing by a pathological political ideology, who act like petulant children when cornered.
No, but it can be designed (or become, by default) a group for disturbed or insane people and cater to their worse defects.

Now, a true sportsman would take an embarrassing loss in stride. The Democrats are not true sportsmen. "Fair" isn't in their vocabulary. They honor the Golden Rule in the breech. They are poor losers.
There may be a good reason for the sour attitude. Have you seen the discussions about who in the Democratic Party could come back and "win one for the team" in 2028? The back bench is weak, and the front bench is way too old and weathered.
It's true, though, you should never say never. There could be an Obama in the rough still to be unearthed, groomed, and presented for coronation.

Rep Dan Newhouse, R-Wash, introduced a “censure resolution” against Texas Democrat Al Green amid widespread GOP anger at Democrats who protested President Trump’s rousing patriotic address to Congress on Tuesday.
Democrats stupidly pushed for a vote to table the resolution, which would have effectively killed it.
But it failed to pass, and a vote on the measure itself is expected sometime this week.
