So… If he can still conduct raids at churches that are not in the lawsuit… That tells me that the churches that are in the lawsuit are exactly the churches that need to be raided.
I wonder how that fits with this judge’s claims about freedom of religion.
Simple solution. Arrest the pastor and church board (or equivalent) for harboring illegal aliens (already illegal to do under the law) and strip the church of their non-profit tax exempt status (a power granted under Obama.) Watch the fun.
So just wait for the church service to be over, then arrest them.
Just charge them with harboring illegals. Then send in the FBI to arrest the clergy.
Lol
Ice Agents should wait for them to come out of church. Then arrest them.
I seriously doubt anything like that has ever happened. But saying so makes for great drama.
“those in need” does not include law breakers. It is meant for those who need help with daily living necessities: clothing, food, medicine etc.., not dodging committing crimes, and yes, illegal immigration is a crime.
Time to change the church’s tax exempt status then. They are subverting our immigration laws with “humanitarian” actions.
No entity should be above the law.
If the old medieval policy of sanctuary is going to apply to illegal aliens then it ought to apply for all criminal classes. We need to demand that those houses of worship which are filing suit make themselves available for any criminal wanting to avoid law enforcement. Prison escapees. Parole violators. Bail jumpers. Fugitive. Accused suspects. Convicted felons. I am sure a longer list could be had.
I am not sure the agents are entering and disrupting the sanctuary. More likely they are waiting on the grounds or in another part of the house of worship.
(C)It is not a violation of clauses [1] (ii) or (iii) of subparagraph (A), or of clause (iv) of subparagraph (A) except where a person encourages or induces an alien to come to or enter the United States, for a religious denomination having a bona fide nonprofit, religious organization in the United States, or the agents or officers of such denomination or organization, to encourage, invite, call, allow, or enable an alien who is present in the United States to perform the vocation of a minister or missionary for the denomination or organization in the United States as a volunteer who is not compensated as an employee, notwithstanding the provision of room, board, travel, medical assistance, and other basic living expenses, provided the minister or missionary has been a member of the denomination for at least one year.
This is a loophole that someone could drive a truck through.
