And TRILLIONS have been stolen from U.S. taxpayers and Democrats are complaining about Musk/DOGE?
BOTH PARTIES need to explain why this auditing wasn't done years ago.
Anyone else want to post stories about their struggle to pay these taxes? Yourself or family members or friends.
I've seen: Trips missed. Education opportunities for kids delayed. Driving old vehicles (average car on the road now is a decade old). Maybe missing meals. Threats to shut down businesses.
Don't pay and there are nasty letters, garnished bank accounts, threats to seize assets. Try to get an IRS error corrected and you'd wait in line for hours to have the 'worker' go on a break or tell you to come back another day.
This is a winning issue for Trump. Every person I speak with about it daily is p*ssed about the absolute waste and lack of respect to the American taxpayer.
Trump took out a loan. He and the creditor agreed to the value of the collateral. Trump repaid the loan.
Where was the “bookkeeping error?”
Error?
My ass.
Where were his accountants supposed to record this?
They accused him of mislabeling it when payments to Trump’s lawyer were classified as legal expenses. Trump didn’t file any of it; his accountants did and they said he didn’t tell them to do anything.
It was a bunch of bull crap, plain and simple. And the amount involved is peanuts compared to the govt’s payments that they didn’t classify at all, leaving no ability to audit or trace.
It was not an error. His accountants reported a legal expense as a legal expense. The FEC even agreed.
No, this is the one where his lawyer Cohen had a trap and kill scam with Stormy Daniels. On his own, Cohen “found” and took care of the Stormy Daniels accusation just before the election.
He took out a loan against his house and paid her the 130,000. So then he goes to Trump and brags that he had this situation and paid for it himself in return for an NDA, and then he put in for reimbursement.
It was supposed to make Cohen look like a happening guy and get him a job in his administration. Trump paid him back in a series of payments to him and they were labeled “Legal expenses”. No crime whatsoever.
It was referred to the FEC as a fraudulent campaign expense. The FEC declined and said there was no campaign finance nexus at all.
So New York State prosecutes it as a fraudulent business record! But first they had to change a law. A fraudulent record is only a problem if it is used to further a crime. So NY state decided that no matter what the FEC said, it was a campaign finance violation. That’s the nutshell of the “34 felonies” case.
Hegseth was sent a $33k+ tax bill after an “audit”:
Pete Hegseth
@PeteHegseth
Of course the outgoing Biden IRS rushed an “audit” of the incoming SecDef. Total sham.
The party of “norms” and “decency” strikes again. We will never back down.

Here’s how an audit works: YOU LOSE.
You lose being audited for your business because you’ll spend days - perhaps weeks - preparing for the audit and going through every expense.
You’ll lose because there’s some error made of the thousands of transactions and then you owe...
PENALTIES
INTEREST
and the TAXES you didn’t pay.
Best case: you are out thousands - tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands for big businesses - on CPAs, etc. to represent you.
You’ll be told by some fat a** government worker lady that’s never spent a day working anywhere else, not created one job, and barely shows up for her own that if you don’t pay your business will be shut down, accounts seized, and then they’ll come after you personally.
But, hey, they needed all that money to pay for the Social Security for our 130 year old citizens.
Did we need RFK on the job with all these 100+ year olds?? Maybe we’re doing better than we thought....
Different case.
The bookkeeping entry was done to cover Michael Cohen’s actions covering the story of Stormy Daniels.
It was a sham but it was over $130,000 bucks.
NOTHING. PEANUTS.
But now Dems are saying 1% of our budget for USAID is chump change. !!!
Taxpayers are extremely mad = rocket fuel for Musk to keep going.
If we can get convictions on the couple of million scammers getting Social Security money, etc. = flip a few states red.
Ask anyone who calls President Trump a convicted felon to tell you what he did that was a felony according to New York state law. You will be insulted, threatened and called many colorful names. But they will never answer the simple question because there is no answer. I think Pam Bondi will expose a great deal of corruption in that case as well as others.
Sorry I agree it is b.s. but Democrats said they cared about the $130,000 bookkeeping error then.
Now?
Don’t want to hear about $4.7 TRILLION that’s not traced.
Or blaming “Cobalt” for the high number of 140 year olds!
The democrats say nobody is above the law......except the 20 million illegal aliens that fiercely protect.
Very good synopsis.
Thanks. I’m sure there are some details I don’t have -exactly- right, but that’s the broad brush as I remember it.
Just for fun we should start inditing every leftist who has ever engaged in making the same sort of estimate in a financial transaction. Few would escape the standards they set in concocting this case against Trump.

Start with peekaboo James and Honchel...
Everyone responsible for Trump’s prosecution should be tried for attempted election rigging.
Great point! There appears to be millions of defect records at SSA!
Trump didn’t make a bookkeeping error either. The payments were described as a legal expense which is in the ballpark of what they were, if Stormy threatened any legal action or if lawyers were involved. Trump could have called them “legal settlement” which would be more accurate, and no one would ever have known what the “legal settlement” was about. No private citizen could have forced anyone to reveal the details of the “legal settlement”, just like 50,000 NGOs don’t have to report what they do with the trillion dollars they get from the taxpayers. So obviously calling it a “legal expense” instead of “legal settlement” was not intended to deceive, because there was no reason to deceive anyone about the fact that it was a legal settlement. Could have been a slip and fall at one of Trump’s hotels. Letitia James would not have been happy if Trump had said the expenses were “hush money to a porn star I had anal sex with in Las Vegas on 4-5-2005 while wearing a dildo”
Stop! All you are doing is getting Letitia hot! 😂😂😂
