My first thought was that this tunnel would collapse upon the first earthquake. It’s also very unnecessary because cargo is more efficiently shipped on a cargo ship, which can take tens of thousands or C-cans at once and flight is the most efficient way to travel the globe for a passenger.

Giant boondoggle. As someone mentioned plate tectonics not to mention structure designed to resist pressure of tons per sq inch but the biggest question is WHY?
