DeSantis is young, and if patient there will come a day when enough people forget how he treated Trump that he might again become competitive.
Id probably vote for DeSantis over Vance if they both ran in the primaries.

Let’s get POTUS DJT through the next year (at least the next 8 months) before we start replacing him. This was a long/hard war to get him back to leading our country to prosperity and peace. God willing.

Let’s cool our jets and see how JD does. If he is a great VP, he will be the obvious choice in 2028.
In the meantime, I’m anxious to see how Trump does with this term.
We’ll see how things play out over the next 4 years but off the top of my head I would say that Vance would be preferable. DJT Jr. is fine but I’m not sure he’s been tested under fire or has developed the same as his dad and Vance.

it’s not how he treated Trump, it’s how power hungry and money greedy he is that’s the turn off for some of us. he sucked up to lots of people just to try to enrich himself. his actions show repeatedly doesn’t really care about Citizens. just look how he’s allowed illegals to run around his state the whole time he’s been governor, when all the time he has had authority to at least contain them, if not punt them back to wherever they came from.
Vance can prove himself over the next four years, and Vivek can do a lot to show he really does know how to cut Government spending in the next two. Vivek can move from Ohio to another state so he and his law school friend can run as a proven team in 2028. Vance as president for 8 years then Vivek for the next 8.
One can dream.
Donald Trump Jr was one of the people who convinced his father to pick Vance, I doubt they run against one another in 2028.
He doesn't have what it takes to run a national campaign. He can try again, but on the campaign trail JD Vance will outshine him by far. He'll look like Harris compared to JD.
