Shirel Golan, a Nova survivor, ended her life today because monsters extinguished her light a year ago. May her memory be a blessing. And may we shine our light and share our love so abundantly in her honor.https://www.instagram.com/romineustadt/p/DBXL_wiz2-s/
jewishlivesmatter (10.20.24):
Shirel Golan, a survivor of the Nova Party massacre on October 7th, took her life today, on her 22nd birthday. Her passing is a painful reminder of the unseen wounds so many carry after that tragic day.https://www.instagram.com/jewishlivesmatter/reel/DBXiYUSN_eC
The trauma of that tragic day lingers to this day, leaving scars that aren’t always visible. PTSD is a silent battle that many are now faced to live with, and the impact of the horror endured by so many in Israel continues to weigh heavily.
Words fail, only tears and heartache remain. May Shirel’s memory be a blessing, and may you dance in heaven forever.
No, you’re deliberately rude and provocative to multiple people on this thread. People who don’t deserve your flippant and insulting manner. And as such I consider you a troll who gets off on being rude and insulting. In other words, a punk. Now go away before somebody drops a house on you too.
CC
Provide an example where I’ve been rude to anyone.
On the other hand I’ve been called all sorts of names and have not responded in kind at all.
I have tried to point out the seriousness of suicide and how we cannot romanticize it or ignore its nature and harmful effect on us.
God hates suicide and we should too. Her suicide is not something to be melancholically sad over but is something to be angry about.
It is a failure. A horrible failure.
Thank you for this comment. I notice I had not answered you.
“ Shame on you. NOBODY is “extol[ing] the virtues of suicide”. Decent folk (a category which you do not currently inhabit) are understanding that she was pushed beyond her limits. ”
This is rationalizing or justifying suicide.
“She was pushed beyond her limits.”
Any crime can be rationalized with that statement.
It’s one of those things foundational to the liberal worldview.
Still digging that hole you’re in, I see ...
I gave you good advice. You really should follow it.
I notice you have no response but cliché.
Do you support, advocate, justify etc… suicide?
True
Its why two people can go through the same trauma and from it, one believes in God and the other believes there’s no God
But we can say certain ways of dealing with it are objectively better than others. Offing yourself is not generally considered one of the better ways to deal with it.
If you were capable of reading comprehension (you aren’t), you would see that I have already answered your disingenuous “question”.
Do better.
Or slink off like the disgraced toad that you currently are.
Insults, attempts at vitriol, bullying and demeaning. As opposed to clearly stating your opinions or thoughts or ideas.
“ If you were capable of reading comprehension (you aren’t), you would see that I have already answered your disingenuous “question”.”
Is this your answer:
“No, one “should” not.
But I’m not going to judge her for it”
Should in quotes.
No one “should” commit suicide.
Why the quotes?
Can you actually explain your position?
It seems to be no one “should” kill themselves, unless “pushed beyond her limits” as you stated in a post defending her suicide.
Which is as amorphous as it gets.
Perhaps you are personally against suicide but if someone else wants to do it, who are you to judge, but it should be rare and safe. It’s her own body, anyhow.
