They cannot (will not) help, so cast them aside without seeking their counsel.

And then being in the dogs and the computer experts, the place will be filled with boobytraps (a la Clinton's departure).

Fire with cause the civil employee heads of any departments where records are not left in working order.

Sundance is responding to an article from Politico.
************************************************************
So my question stands: “But are there any reputable sources reporting on it?”

I think this is a headfake / negotiation ploy. The damage caused by deep state briefings is absolutely real. Most notably, Comey presented the fake pee-pee tape during a briefing then promptly leaked it kicking off the whole Steele Dossier campaign.

But I think there will be a counter-offer. The actual earnest employees will create policies so blatantly biased political actors will no longer be allowed to run things in exchange for Trump at least pretending to respect the transition norms. So a leaked “I don’t really need you guys” to prompt them to make concessions.

Also, notice that’s it is still a few weeks until election day and the discussion topic is how Trump will manage his transition.

The production company from David Letterman’s show? Haven’t heard or thought about that name or his show in years

The U.S. Capitol should be moved to Junction City, Kansas.

I recall Nancy Pelosi saying in the run-up to the 2020 election, that Trump would be leaving office whether he knew it or not. That they would inaugurate Biden into office even if Trump didn't leave.

“Whether he knows it yet or not, he will be leaving,” Pelosi said Monday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. “Just because he might not want to move out of the White House doesn’t mean we won’t have an inauguration ceremony to inaugurate a duly elected president of the United States.”

SNIP

“It has nothing to do with if a certain occupant of the White House doesn’t feel like moving and has to be fumigated out of there — because the presidency is the presidency. It’s not geography or location.”

ransomnote: I believed then that Nancy's reference to 'geography or location' meant that they would give Biden an office elsewhere, and hold press conferences there, whether Trump remained in office or not. Given there were no Dem objections to Nancy's 'geography or location' statement, then Dems must not have any objection to Trump's people working outside the Capitol. I understand the office buildings on Capitol Hill are only 1/3 occupied or less anyway now, and I'm not sure I would trust anything 'those people' left behind in those office buildings.

Root out the deep state like the IDF is rooting Hamas from Gaza.

Right after the inaugeration Trump needs to take the entire GOP congressional caucus to Camp David and outline a legislative blitz they need to be prepared, and agreed, to vote on immediately. That needs to include a two year suspension of all civil service job protections and outright repeal of the two giant Biden spending bills, along with repeal of the creation of the CFPB; the most rogue (no oversight) of rogue federal agencies there is.

Outside Washington DC? I love it.
I recall when Trump moved Department of Ag offices to Kansas* and Bureau of Land Management offices to Colorado**. That was cool. Especially since there was a mass resignation from the DC employees that refused to move with their jobs. (Unfortunately, Biden reversed the move.)

*Trump officials proposed deep cuts to USDA research agencies. When Congress wouldn’t go along, the administration came up with plan B: Move two agencies — the National Institute of Food and Agriculture and the Economic Research Service — far away from Washington.
**The Bureau of Land Management headquarters is moving from Washington, D.C., to Grand Junction, Colo. The Trump administration says it wants the agency to be nearer to the places it oversees.

There are companies out there that learned things the hard way. Normally, when someone quits they give one pay period’s notice (~2 weeks) and they work through that and then leave. Meant to be sort of a transition time and time enough to let the employer find a replacement.

A smart company will usher the employee out the door that very same day. Why? Why keep someone around not happy with their job, or going to another company, possibly a competitor, etc.

In the case of the government side of the transition team. They’re actually the LOSERS and very likely only there to work against the electee and do damage.

On day one, there ought to be a helluva lot of terminations going out. Every US Attorney, all the Cabinet Secretaries, all of the IC heads, EVERY political appointee slot, every Ambassador slot, ANYBODY at the State Department who isn’t career track, the head of the USSS and anyone still there in the WH rotated out to Omaha inspecting fake 20 dollar bills or something. IOW, the transition team should spend all its time writing termination letters. Thousands of them. Oh, and along with the termination letters, anyone with a security clearance needs to have it terminated also. No more NTK - need to know.

If the Trump team forgoes the traditional transition coordination, the Dems, deep staters & their media lackeys will scream Trump is setting up a shadow/dictatorial gov’t and investigate and attempt to impeach - all while telling the most outrageous lies about all things Trump.

...yeah, so what else is new...

Interesting. But are there any reputable sources reporting on it?

Conservative Treehouse links to a Politico story.

So, no.
