I was watching the video in the link. China has become very much a cashless society. They use their phones to purchase everything.
A Typhoon hit, knocked out power and nobody could buy anything. In fact, just finding a place with electricity so they could charge their phones was a big deal.
It reminded me of:
Revelations 6:13 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
It seems everyone wants you to use a phone app to pay anymore. And every phone is tied to a number. And most of us hold them in our right hand.

No not cellphones unless they can be implanted in your forehead or hand..No I think it is an ideology a symbol of the mark. You see it today with the Left and I say the Left has accepted the Mark. Once a person accepts the Mark there is no coming back.
I think the mark is symbolic of your thoughts and actions.
What you believe and what you do.

Those who follow the Lord's law, the law of God, are symbolized as thinking (forehead) and DOING (the hand) the Lord's law.
Those who follow the beasts law are represented the same way.
So the mark of the beast is kind of plain and has nothing to do with technology or anything like that. It simply represents those who have rejected God and his laws and have instead embraced the laws of the beast...which I believe are really just demonic and humanistic ideas about why God isn't real.
