Hezbollah pager operation casualty update: - 4,000 Hezbollah Terrorists injured. - 400 in critical condition. - 18 High-Ranking commanders injured. - 500 plus lost their eyesight - 11 Hezbollah Terrorists dead.
Numbers from Syria are not known yet. This is the biggest blow to hezbollah since it was founded
And imagine the paranoia of all communication devices, and subsequent breakdown of communication
So, how did Israel learn of this shipment? Among the possibilities:
* Divine revelation
* a mole, in Hezbollah or Taiwan
* surveillance
If this is true this is beyond amazing… Israel is a whole other level of
Eff around and find out.
They have likely had this capacity for years and have been sitting on it.
Lord know what else they have waiting to unleash.

Hezballah ordered these pagers for their terrorists to prevent spying from their cell phones. These weren’t being bought by kids wanting to be cool like they were back in the 80s. As for collateral damage and expanding war. Hezballah is launching thousands of rockets in to Israel and killing people. Lebanon is hosting them and should feel the pain of retaliation. War is hell and it only ends when enough hell has been dished out by a victor.
More importantly, what is going to be the response from Hezbollah on this, and will it lead to a wider war in the Middle East.
This was a decapitation strike on Hezbollah leadership and it really degrades Hezbollah combat effectiveness.
Israel has few choices in the North at this point - either Hezbollah withdraws or Israel attacks to drive them out.
This attack will either motivate Hezbollah to remove itself from the Israeli border or reduce it's combat effectiveness if Israel is forced to attack. I take this as demand letter from the IDF - withdraw or we attack .
I have zero sympathy for Hezballah. Yet I don’t feel joy at the mayhem. It was a terror operation aimed at terrorists.
What episode of “Hogans Heroes” did they get this from?
I respect your point of view. But I feel differently.
There IS such a thing as a “terrorist specific pager” when they are purchased en masse by a terrorist organization to be used as a method of communication for terrorist operations and distributed to the terrorists.
I try not to feel joy at this. But this is Hezbollah.
You do what these people did to our Marines in th bombing of the Beirut barracks, then I am fine with this and applaud who did it.
You want to hijack a plane, murder a US Navy sailor and throw his limp body to the tarmac for the benefit of the muslim world? Enjoy your exploding pager.
You want to chop the heads off of innocent people and film it? I can accept a pager blowing off your testicles.
You want to rape and mutilate both men and women before shooting them in the head in front of their children before shooting the children too, then I hope the Israelis figure out a few more clever ways to make you bleed and suffer.

Probably not a whole lot. Pagers, which use old technology, were probably used for encrypted messages relating to terrorism, so if you had one of those pagers, you were probably a terrorist. Innocent civilians, even in a less-developed region like the Middle East, would probably be using cell phones.
I think it was meant to either deter a wider war, or to make winning that war easier. Incredible story, really. Heisting the pagers in transit and rigging them to explode whenever they wanted. Nobody the wiser of the whole operation.

A brilliant and perfectly executed precision strike. Some of the Gold Apollo AP series pagers run on 2 AA cells, but the model involved, AR-924, has a lithium-ion battery. It’s common for cheap 18650 cells from China to be fakes - instead of having the advertised 2200mAh (or whatever) capacity advertized, they’ve got a tiny Li-Poly cell inside that will work but which has a 1/4 to 1/3 the rated capacity. The only way to tell is by weight, so the fakers started adding filler so they weigh what a real battery does.
Substitute explosive for filler material and add a simple trigger circuit and you’ve got the perfect anti-personnel weapon.
As for those panty-wadders who make up theories about collateral damage: prove it. There’s be no report of such, and given how pagers are worn/carried it would require close physical proximity. And if so, tough. Collateral damage is inevitable in war. Worry about suicide vests and drone strikes instead.
They will inspect every device coming into their control very carefully...will slow things down a bit ...
gonna be difficult when their missiles have auto boomerang installed...or their drones are hacked and target Hezbollah or Hamas instead of Israel.
I am imagining that the computer system monitoring their drones progress will be spoofed to give the false indication of success while the drones close in on Hezbollah headquarters.
Look at the footage from the hospital. 24 injured fighting aged males. One possible female.
That’s a spectacularly low collateral damage rate in any conflict anywhere.
Go see yourself. It will convince you of the actual precision.

They just created an incredibly dense and *up-to-date* social graph of an entire terrorist network, across Lebanon as well as neighboring countries. It is incredible what they just did.
(Imagine being in a dark room with a massive Christmas tree in it. The tree has thousands of electric lights strewn all over it, but they’re unlit because the wall plug is not plugged into the wall socket.)
