Trump’s would-be assassin has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, 58.
@zelensky_official I am an American coming to fight with you in Ukraine; I am flying into Krakow and will take any transport to Kyiv to meet you and fight to the death. We must get every civilian in the world to come and join the fight; I will be the example. Attack moscow now

Shots were fired at Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 pm as the former president was playing a round of golf with real estate investor Steve Witkoff.
It is unclear if Routh was able to fire his weapon (AK-47 with a scope) or if the Secret Service shot at him first after they identified him as a threat.
Officials have confirmed that the gunman, identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, targeted President Trump.
The FBI is calling Sunday’s shooting an attempted assassination.
Police also released photos of the sniper’s nest next to Trump’s golf course.
Ryan Wesley Routh left behind a Go-Pro, an AK-47 and two backpacks on the perimeter of Trump’s golf club.
Here’s what we know so far:
Ryan Wesley Routh pushed the muzzle of his rifle through the fence line at Trump’s golf course before Secret Service agents fired at him.
Law enforcement said the gunman was about 300 to 500 yards away from Trump. He was hiding in the shrubbery when he pointed his rifle with a scope through the fence.
According to law enforcement, Secret Service agents were one to two holes ahead of Trump when they spotted the muzzle of the rifle.
According to reporters for The AP, there are several areas around the perimeter of Trump’s golf course where golfers are visible from the fence line.
It appears the would-be assassin exploited a vulnerable part of the property’s perimeter.
Ryan Wesley Routh ran out of the bushes and escaped in a black vehicle but he was arrested in Martin County.
Law enforcement said charges against Ryan Wesley Routh are pending.
Wrong again, as usual.

Took a second away from TBR, you know, the site you go to to bash Trump and FR, to chime in here?
Was it an AK or SVT? Similar gas systems, but the AK isn’t the best sniper weapon. SVT is made for that
True dat, but it is one of THE most reliable. Yeah, it has looser tolerances but there is a company here in the US that accurizes AKs so they are very accurate. I can't remember the name of it or what MOA they guarantee because I can't afford it.
I meant SVD, the Dragonov.
The AK accuracy is about 4MOA, that is a four inch spread at 100 yards. The SVD is probably less than 1 MOA.
Excellent point. The SS is not giving up, are they?
Me either..AK basically a CQB (close quarter ccombat) weapon with a round about comparable to a 30 30. Not considered by any stretch as a long range accurate sniper rifle. The rifle in the photo appears to have a gas tube on top of the much longer than an AK barrel which looks in the same design family and semi automatic. However, this specimen may be a more accurate Dragunov type chambered in 7,62 x 54R, a much more formidable and accurate round espeially with scope. Point is, it’s not an AK 47. All Russian origination and very, very good.
The leak is called “Secret Service” (AKA SS).
Well when it comes to weapons, the media considers everything to be an AK. My Ruger 10/22 is an AK. My Remington 20 gauge pump gun is an AK.
The Dragunov does have some similarities to the AK. Being a gas stroke semi or full auto feed rifle. It is far superior though because it has a fully machined receiver (vs. stamped sheet metal) and three locking lugs (instead of two) and a shorter gas stroke and tighter tolerances. And of course the calibers are different. I’d love to have one but I don’t know why. I don’t shoot the guns I do have.
The nice thing about 7.62x39 ammo is that it sends a relatively heavy projectile out of the barrel at around 2350 FPS. This means that you do not need the projectile to be jacketed. Any alloy of lead which can be hardened by dropping your freshly cast bullets from the mold into water can be used. Old tire weights are often ideal, but you can add a small amount of antimony if you cannot find them. I often heat treat to get the best results. You can use a cheap hardness detector to verify your results. Properly made cast lead bullets do not tend to leave a problematic amount of lead deposits in the barrel with regular cleaning.
The brass is typically capable of being used several times so your largest expense is usually primers and powder. 7.62x39 is a very economical cartridge for those who cast their own bullets and reload their own cartridges.
TBR? Tampa Bay Rays or a Taco Bell Run?

The Briefing Room.
Marcus Maximus, however, has been missing for days...
NO!! They didn’t get Marcus, did they? He was almost a friend. No, that’s not right. He could’ve been a friend. No that’s not right either. Now that I think about it, it’ll be okay either way.
I enjoy my “AK 47 style” bolt actions and single shots.😀
