Where does the person that prefers solitude over fillintheblank human intimate relationship fit in? You know the song...”I’ll be what I am...solitary man.” Seriously. I prefer to not burden anyone with myself and I shiver at the thought of being trapped in a sour relationship of which I see others in all over in society.

>> Kohler shows that Nietzsche’s suppressed homosexuality, generating a hatred of Christianity and conventional morality, was a central influence on his work.”

That figures. Nietzsche was a vile piece of excrement.

“GOD is dead”... Nietzsche
“Nietzsche is dead!” ... GOD

The old mosaic law sure gave men a pass on sin..the same old wink wink as today...personally,men should never marry nor produce children if they can not commit to a single spouse...same for women.

just think if solid families with one mother and one father were the norm today...virtually all our societal and financial problems would be nonexistant, imo.

there are solid biological reasons why the one man,one woman marriage ideal works best for societies....peace being one.

Humanity wasn’t morally evolved enough to meet the higher standard in the days of Moses, and so God left some wiggle-room in the law.

Good information in this article, but I don't agree with the highlighted sentence above. Human morality has not evolved. The "hardness of your heart" scripture refers to divorce. Polygamy was not God's plan from the beginning. The old testament doesn't highlight it every time it occured, but that does not make it any less sinful for them and yes indeed they suffered the consequences. Look at Abraham, David, Solomon and other patriarchs and kings with multiple wives and the complete havoc, heartbreak, jealousy and murder that it caused in their families.
