Sarcasm aside, Trump is trying to win an election in a country where a majority of the voters support legal access to abortion.
We don't have to like it but that's the reality of the situation. Our choices are between voting for pro-abortion Trump or voting for pro-abortion and full blown communist Kamala Harris.
This kind of crap loses pro-life voters. Gains zero, zip, nadda “on the fence” pro choice voters.
So you support candidates who stick their finger in the air to see which direction the wind is blowing?
DJT is either pandering to the Demon party or is actually not pro life at all.
I’m beginning to wonder if Trump has any core values at all.
Where else is he willing to sell out his core supporters?
that looks like it was almost 6 months ago- wonder if it changed at all
Honestly, I don’t think a majority support “all” abortion, the media has gone full scale yes or no on the matter and it’s reflective in polls.
No one is going to pass any laws that will completely eliminate the practice, it’s just a talking point and as we see, white suburban women consider it more important than food costs.
It’s back to a state issue, let’s move on from that at the federal level and address the alphabet agency overreach.
To my suburban wife, Abortion is the number one issue. And she has indicated that based on Trump’s recent statements, she can’t vote for him.
“in a country where a majority of the voters support legal access to abortion.”
That’s what the dope smokers and people that cheat elections and fake polls tell me.
But I don’t believe them. Because... duh.
In other words he is just a run of the mill GOP politician moving to the left and abandoning his base after the primaries.
Six weeks to short, doesn't he know the voters he trying to court won't vote for him if he showed up with a vacuum cleaner and sucked the baby out himself ?
True, but there is no justification for the policy of appeasement. And catering to Democrat women as they would support Trump makes the GOP look weak.
Views on abortion by religious affiliation, 2024 About three-quarters of White evangelical Protestants (73%) think abortion should be illegal in all or most cases. By contrast, 86% of religiously unaffiliated Americans say abortion should be legal in all or most cases, as do 71% of Black Protestants, 64% of White nonevangelical Protestants and 59% of Catholics. - https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/fact-sheet/public-opinion-on-abortion/
Maybe they should just have Congress pass an Amendment to repeal the 19th Amendment. A great many conservative women would agree that the 19th has caused way more harm than good.
They still won’t vote for him.
