Go to 4:50 in the video in the link below. You will hear there was only 5 shell casings.
The Director said there were 8 shots fired.
I think he said 1 shot was the counter sniper team?
So where were the other 2 shots from?

too many clips. I can tell you it was on twitter last night from fox. I did post a short clip on this thread of it from ABC of the moment someone is counting eight.

The timestamp of the guy who counted 5 is 6:27; the timestamp of the guy who counted 8 is 7:09.
thank you for that. Grassley caused unnecessary confusion by releasing snippets over several days.
And it is possible that they still hadn’t really scoured the ground yet. We have no way to know.
I have gone back and forth also. However, the latest analysis from the Peak Prosperity guy here:

seems reasonable. He uses five different audio tracks from different sources/locations to put together a 10-shot timeline. He also shows that the sound signatures of the first three shots are quite different from the next five when recorded near to Crooks’ location on the roof. (And the last two shots are analyzed as counter sniper shots.)
The Grassley-released bodycams include the moment (I think in the second one) where one officer standing with others on the roof counts the brass out loud at five. It seems unlikely that the shell casings would roll far on a 1 in 12 pitch roof. So if there were only five there when first responders counted, a second (really a first) shooter seems more possible/likely.
but if you analyze the video time stamps as above poster referenced you will likely see 8 casing officer is looking wider than the 5 casing guy and appears to also be looking on the other side of the roof which does have something black on it as well.
He doesn't say there were only 5. Someone says to look out for shell casings and he casually looks around and counts 5. That doesn't mean there weren't more he didn't see in that moment.
There is other video where they count out eight casings.

The question is, who was the shooter ? LEO ? I doubt that . I would have typically leaned towards the CIA, yet the guy missed 3 times, so I don’t think so.
Another thought though, the Powers that Be are so ideologically driven, it would not surprise me if they brought in some Leftie to do the deed of killing Trump.
Ol’ Leftie was not a crack shot as they thought, they missed via Trump turning his head , and it flustered the shooter.
I doubt if a CIA killer would have missed 3 times, hence the ideologue sniper makes sense to me.
They found 8 empty shell casings on that roof next to Crooks' dead body. Let's get real. During the attack on President Trump, I heard eight pop pop pops from Crooks. and two pop pops from the near-by "police" snipers who wasted few bullets putting him down. I wished those snipers would have shot ten seconds earlier.
There is no such thing as a shell casing.
In the vid from near Crooks, the 1st 3 shots are distinctly different in at least 3 ways from the 2nd group, of 5 shots: Loudness, the “sound characteristic” (aside from the loudness), and rate of fire (MUCH different). It seemed most reasonable to me that Crooks got off 3 shots, then an LEO in bad position but close to the camera (cell phone recording) and / or using a heavier weapon ripped off 5 shots @ Crooks, then the counter-sniper group further away from Trump made the head shot.
But, if there really were exactly 5 casings attributable to Crooks, that falls apart, because clearly the very 1st shot in the group of 3 is the one that winged President Trump.
True. My theory is it was an assassination by opportunity. That is, they were certain that Crooks was there to use his AR-15 on Trump. They may have even found where he stashed his weapon. Once they realized he was on the roof with his weapon, the opportunity was there. They let him do the job for them.
